Who in their right mind and having been told they are on their way out would want to perform for HH? A man motivator he appears not to be. He depresses me every time he speaks!! To be fair to the guy, a vast majority of the team want to leave anyway so maybe what he,s trying to say to them is these fans have had a season of pure shite from you lot, why not go out there on Saturday an play like the superstars you"think" you are an give them just one performance to be proud of. Lets not forget HH an JS were brought in to do a job next season not rescue us from this seasons disasters.

Hope I’m wrong though I dont think they can either just a shame really, spent almost every Saturday following these bunch of mis-fits all over the country so really should expect nothing less. Anyway at least after this we can sit back enjoy the summer an then start moaning about the new recruits an the pre season friendlies.

Apparently there will be a DJ spinning the tunes as we say our fond farewell to the VNL, rather than a grande finale a wake would be more appropriate.
I fully expect half time eulogies, and a table with sausage rolls and other nibbles.

One of the songs could be Seasick Steve's ' Started off with nothing and still got most of it left'. Plus of course Down Down by the Quo.

Let's look at some positives of our stay in the NL. It enabled us to build the Genco and double the size of the main stand. We also visited the kind of clubs we had not visited since our Football League days. It was fun while it lasted but time to regroup back in proper nonleague.

Have now visited 499 different grounds so looking for somewhere nice for the big 500 so first game of the season away to Weymouth would be lovely.

Personally I found it fun as well - up until JS1 ran out of ideas and the appointment of HW when it went from fun into a bit of a horror movie, but yes, there were many positives from our time in NL, both in ground development, teams we played and memories on another thread of some great goals and moments from our time in NL, and of course, great players like Pigs, Zavon and Blair.
I also agree "proper" Non League is no bad thing, and my head says we may be there for a season or two, but my heart still says it would be fantastic if next season we came straight back up and managed to build a "proper" NL-ready infrastructure and club (that didn't bankrupt us!) along the way. COYS!

Love your enthusiasm oldboy, but I think it may well be a few seasons before we are ready to do battle in the NL again dont really want a sugar daddy to invest, but if there is no sudden increase in the clubs bank balance I fear we will always be a yo-yo club in the NL

Our best chance of boosting finances will be a mega cup run - in other words third round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford, live on TV. That or the club buy a euromillions lottery ticket that wins a multiple rollover in the £100 million category...

That or the club buy a euromillions lottery ticket that wins a multiple rollover in the £100 million category... With the odds on winning the jackpot a staggering 56,000 000/1 it would cost you £140,000,000 to guarantee a win of £100,000,000 and just hope there isn't 10 winners.

My analytical mind however, then says to me "But surely JS2 and HH (and Anwar and Chris) were hired for an instant bounceback, so if that DOESNT happen we face a whole new Management team (again) for the NLS season after next?
So, my conclusion of my heart, head and mind, is that if JS2, HH, AU, CL and uncle Tom Cobley and all succeed in the bounceback to NL, but we are equally unprepared for NL, we may well yo-yo straight back down again and if they fail to bounceback we could be in NLS for at least another two seasons whilst yet another Management "team" beds in with yet another new squad.
Oh for the days of stability under Jay!
Maybe our new kit should be a black and amber roller coaster!

Without fear of being classed as all doom an gloom, I feel the days of managerial roller coaster are here to stay, the owners will not allow the current team to go on a losing streak, I think if things are not going to plan by late autumn then we will see yet another change. Sadly that is the position the club are now in. A pressure pot for managers that if they fail to keep winning then they will be out.
