Indeed but it's not enough, especially if we have sights for the football league - where artificial turf isn't allowed

Indeed but it's not enough, especially if we have sights for the football league - where artificial turf isn't allowed Thats a dream that aint happening anytime soon, we really need to give up on it. Only way this club is getting into the Football League is with major investment, the type of money our owners don't have. Just to get the stadium up to football league standard will cost another 3-4 million, then to challenge at the top of this league you need a player budget of at least a million plus a season and then you have the whole pitch problem.....that would have to be ripped up and grass installed. So then we would have to pay to train somewhere else like Ebbsfleet & Dover do at Cobdown. So basically we would need either a very rich fan to takeover or find a sugar daddy and hope he ain't a nutjob like Glenn Tamplin.

First season in the NL actually had enjoyable moments. Second season less so, this season little if any. I think it is not just down to what has happened to Maidstone, the NL itself has become a very poor and predictable league, where only a certain formula prospers. I blame it on too much money, with too many journeyman players trying to exploit it. I am hoping for a little sparkle next season, including opposition teams too. It can't get any worse, can it?

But let's hope not.

Not sure how it can get worse than finishing bottom of the league and playing crap football.

Not sure how it can get worse than finishing bottom of the league and playing crap football. Finishing bottom of NLS and playing crap football? No, although I can be concerned/realistic more than blue sky optimist, I don’t think that will actually happen. Good football and playoffs or just outside them might be good for many of us but the vibe seems to be that JS2 HH and Anwar are expected to bring us straight back up so if that doesn’t happen there could be more upheaval, which would not be a good scenario. However the NLS season goes, we do need stability at the club.

Considering the club has promised shedloads of sackings but as yet we have not heard of any new player signings, it needed a huge leap of faith for any supporter to purchase an early bird season ticket.
Given the truly dismal season we have all suffered, for the club to have sold over 500 at this stage (including yours truly) is pretty decent.

I'd buy a ST whatever was going on or I expected to happen next season. And so would many/most. That's what you do. Supporting a football club is never about promotion, winning, etc, it's just about supporting your club - whatever happens.
Otherwise there'd be no supporters (or clubs) outside the top 5 or 6 PL clubs.

Yes your comments are true to a point but every supporter of every club no matter what the level they play at always has to have a dream an a ambition at the start of each season, surely as a kid you used to dream about your club lifting a trophy or winning the league. Without those dreams then what is the point? Loyalty will always be with the club but surely you must have ambitions or am I just being a sentimental idiot?

But if the club are to continue selling the season tickets Nick at such a good rate do you not think they will need to show the fans who is joining the club? Maybe the players we recruit will depend on some people buying a ST.

I think any true supporter would turn up next season regardless. I’ve already got my ticket ordered, as I was always going to buy one but to save money it made sense to get it early.
With 500+ sold already that’s at least around £113k in the clubs coffers and hopefully that means we can get the best NLS players with more attractive deals than what our main competitors might offer

We have already sold more STs than the average gate at at least 9 NS clubs.
Sell a couple of hundred more, and even if no one turns up, we'll have a higher gate that the NS league average!
