Braintree is North of Oxford Now if he FA show an ounce of common sense then Oxford will be in the north Can anyone spot the canyon sized flaw in that logic? These are the same people who had Bishops Stortford in the Conference North, so I could very well see them doing the same with Braintree.

On the Wiki NLN page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_League_North) there is a map showing the border counties - and these do not include Essex or Hertfordshire, so it can't be Braintree or BS.
The border counties are: Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Glousestershire - plus the southern part of Wales.
Geographically, it's pretty much got to be Oxford and Gloucester.

Although, as Kettering are Champions of whatever their league is called these days, presumably they'll be promoted to the NLN instead, leaving just Gloucester moving to the NLN?
Bloody confusing!

Two teams will still be moving from the South to the North. Kettering were always going to be in the National North if they won promotion due to how step 3 is now setup. The Northern Premier League & Southern League Central promote teams into the North and the Ryman League & Southern League South promote into the National South.

So, if not Gloucester (which is a bloody silly way of spelling it, by the way!), then who?
Presumably Oxford - plus either Hemel or St Albans?
Going to look crazy - two clubs just north of London playing in the NLN - effectively the old Northern Premier!

By the by, this was the NLS last time we were in it:
Sutton United Ebbsfleet United Maidstone United Truro City Whitehawk Hemel Hempstead Town Maidenhead United Dartford Gosport Borough Concord Rangers Bishop's Stortford Oxford City Wealdstone Bath City Chelmsford City Weston-super-Mare Eastbourne Borough St Albans City Margate Havant & Waterlooville Hayes & Yeading United Basingstoke Town
Only those highlighted are currently still in the NLS - a lot of churn in just three years.

Like I said before the FA made Bishops Stortford play in the National North for 2-3 seasons, so none of the suggestions are that bizarre. These are the type of problems that happen when 4 Southern teams get relegated. Likewise next year 4 Northern teams could go down and teams like Leamington & Hereford (their supporters seem to really want to be moved) would have to be moved into the South.

I would love that to happen! Just the thought of all those Northern teams making that long trek south, only to find that shite-hole at the end of their travels!

Truro odds-on to go down, with the mighty Hungerford (30 miles from me) likely to be an opponent next season (unless Truro win v playoff chasing Slough AND Hungerford lose to already-relegated ETU)

One word of warning do not,I repeat do not mention Michael Ryan.

I’d have to question how fun someone was if they were on an away day and they made a point of mentioning a mass murderer.
