Nice that Zavon (I have nothing against him really) and Porter missed the crucial penalties. I enjoy Stones shoot outs Totally agreed re Porter, he’s a vile excuse for a human being !

Possibly a tad harsh. I spoke to him in the pub once and he was decent. I think he falls into the “you love him when he is on your side” category.

My recollection is Porter wasn't rubbish, in fact I thought he showed signs - and still does - of being potentially very, very good, and so I was disappointed when he left, but somehow he just didn't fit in at Stones so we never got the best out of him or developed him into the threat he could be.
That seems to have continued as he in and out of the side at Bromley without setting the world on fire. He's just one of them - another Pax maybe. He is always difficult to play against for us, though, so I'm glad we broke the Bromley jinx and retained the old tinpot cup - especially at their unfriendly home ground!

If my recollection is correct we haven't 'beaten' a 'mens' side in normal time since the semi final last season yet won and retained the cup in that time.
Almost as impressive as the fact that we've won three penalty shootouts in this season's cup run, with three different keepers, all of whom are still with the club for the final.

Did everyone else have road irritations getting home last night. It said the M20 was shut so I went round the M25. The Canterbury turn off was shut so I continued to the next roundabout to come South and get on the M2. Some pillock in a lorry nearly ran me off the road and I ended up on the M25 north again. I went across the bridge and got stuck coming back because it was down to one lane. When I got through that and on to the M2 it was down to one lane and I ended up coming off and going through Gravesend, Rochester and Gillingham before rejoining the M2. Got home at 12.30! What a mare!

Still at least we won a trophy and Mr Tucker even kindly took a picture of me with it.

What a mare! Two consecutive signs on the Swanley bypass informed me first that the M20 was shut Juncts. 2-4 and then that the Junct. 2 exit was shut. I used A20 and Junct. 2 exit was not shut but long, but moving, queue to get through the lights at the Wrotham turnoff. Not helped by them redoing the white lines at the same junction.
So congratulations to Highways England, shutting the M20 and then co-ordinating obstructions on the only sensible alternative route.

For someone that was there, can we have a review of Jack Richards? Got 90 minutes under his belt, and played a team also taking it seriously, so would be good to see how he faired.
