I think Margate is a good fit for JS1. It will give him the chance to rebuild a team, and get a feel good factor over a longer period managing. I think it’s probably the right level for him at this time, what he brings to the table is motivating and getting the best out of the players who genuinely want to play for him will bode well in Margate, and I think at Bostik level that counts for a lot. I think for Saunders to come back to the NL level, he has to be supported financially because where he falls short is the tactical nouse when things aren’t going well to change things up, hence a few awful spells we had previously. Spot on Hammer.
I think in terms of skill level JS1 could have managed an NLS team like Wealdstone or Concord (not really NL without support from a DoF) but you are right, he could get Margate promoted and that's probably a better more enjoyable fit for him.

Don't know where this false accusation that I am madly in love with Mr Saunders comes from............I was one of those who wanted him removed when he ran out of ideas, and only after the disaster of the clown and Jays interviews showing up how badly he was treated did I realise (after the event, with hindsight) that we may have been better bringing in a mentor for JS1 than sacking him.
I also respect what Jay did for us, and think he should have taken a job higher than the Gate, and is capable of more, but wish him well at Hartsdown as unless our owners change I cant see him ever returning to JWW, but wouldn't rule it out because in football anything is possible..........but I'm not holding my breath, and certainly not holding a candle for him or anything like that!
What will be interesting to see if Flish and Lewis change their minds and wear the Margate blue this year, or if any Jay oldboys end up at Hartsdown, and I for one will still be looking out for their results and hope for Jay that they do well.
However, we must move on and see what kind of a squad JS2 and HH build for a push against at least 5-10 very good NLS sides who we will have to be better than to make the play-offs. COYS!
Really..............
