Got bored half way through so listened to the 'ride the lightening ' album by Metallica instead. Sword. You naughty boy. How dare you not listen to it all I did listen to the whole album including 'Fade to Black ' my favourite song of all time and an aptly named track for our current season. P.S. followed it up with South of Heaven by Slayer then my neighbours got the hump and started banging on the door.😂

Please don't get me wrong as I just hate interviews. It could be the most fascinating man on the planet and I would probably switch it off after 30 minutes . I love reading books but I steer clear of autobiographies unless it is really someone I like because I get bored so easily. How did you get on with Bill Williams' autobiography?

that's ok sword, I get bored halfway through your posts too. whatever you think, it's pretty obvious that the clown managed to undo so much of what had been achieved by Jay and Nicky. what a waste, what a shambles, what a shame ! got to feel for the guy, not given the support for a personal contract, academy work, goal-keeping coach, scouting network, video analysis etc same old Jay Saunders, no bull-shit, great communicator, still comes over as very genuine, honest and in touch with how supporters really feel we miss you mate ! Please don't get me wrong as I just hate interviews. It could be the most fascinating man on the planet and I would probably switch it off after 30 minutes . I love reading books but I steer clear of autobiographies unless it is really someone I like because I get bored so easily. Like you I normally steer clear of autobiographies but I got Francis Rossi's "I Talk Too Much" for my birthday and it's a fantastic and thoroughly entertaining read.

I have always said they must carry as much blame for this seasons failings as all the managers an players involved. For someone who’s given as much to Maidstone as Jay, to hear him basically say he was barely given the time of day to thank him, and allow him to have a goodbye is fairly appalling. I imagine Jay said what we all knew, in that more money was needed for more staff, better players and that rubbed them up the wrong way, and it was only when others came in they probably knew he was right so the purse strings were loosened a bit. At the very least he had earnt the chance to explain to fans why he was leaving in the way he did but can only assume this was stopped by the owners. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I wonder how many times this season they have looked at the league table an thought " Damn we messed up "

Jay obviously realised we needed proper coaching hence his comment about getting a GK coach in and a proper scouting system which was rebuffed. Its only I imagine when others from outside came in, they have mentioned the things Jay previously did and they've probably realised he was on to something.
The fact Jay was even looking to ferry our kids around shows what sort of character he is, and I reckon his good nature and love for the club was probably exploited a bit realising they could squeeze more out of him than most other managers at this level.

I think the point you made about Jay being exploited is bang on. I have always been a big supporter of the owners but actually got annoyed listening to that. I think because jay had been here so long they thought they could take advantage of him knowing he was a supporter himself and would just put up with it. Can you imagine if they asked the clown 🤡 or John Still to drive the minibus for the academy lads.......

Just wondering what the point of the interview is. To drive a wedge between the supporters and owners of MUFC. Or financial gain?. If the later then KOL is hardly going to make him a fortune. KOL states that he says that its good to be back in the dugout after 5-6 months, do Bromley not have dugouts?. We were losing supporters because of his style of play route one hoofball. Its water under the bridge, get over it..

Correct me if I am wrong but Worgan was our keeper and he is a goalkeeping coach so why did we need another one?

Oliver said on Stones Live chat that some things went on that fans do not know about. Jay has chosen to speak out and it is up to the directors to decide if they want to challenge what Jay has said or leave it be. Apparently it was mutual consent remember.

We will do this one to death over future years. History will be kind to Jay. Wheeler, not so much. Time will tell with Still. Our owners will be forgiven a lot of mistakes for what they have achieved.

There is another thing that drove a wedge between the owners and jay and that was his business partner in the soccer schools thing that cost jay and the club a lot of money. After that incident it was always going to be difficult for the club to progress with terry and Oliver as owners and jay as manager. The problem is a lot of you on here criticised wheeler when he slung mud at jays summer recruitment (comments by the way that a lot of people had posted on this very forum), but now it seems that something that happened months ago we now want to start hearing about in the public domain, all it's going to lead to is another mud slinging episode where no one comes out smelling of roses and now one has anything to gain from it.
