Because a manger needs to be there to manage and show a presence. Apparently he was in the main stand so he agrees with me. Yeah much better to watch our team get relegated than to prepare for next season. The mind boggles. He said in his interview he would probably be at today’s game but will be scouting Tuesday. I would rather he miss the last 5 games if it means scouting players. Your opinion is heard but not definitive butler is a leg end.

Can't think of why the official attendance of 2050 would be an exaggeration but it didn't feel, or look like, that many to me. probably down to the old nutmeg of including all season ticket sales if we sold 1,100 then they will all count, even if 400 absent on the day of the match.

The club have debunked this theory on numerous occasions.

I thought Salford were Poor Christ knows what that makes us. Still, at least you surely enjoyed the pre match playlist, some decent 70s rock before the game today. Didn't get there until 14.55 so I missed it.

I have also noted that more and more people are watching the game on the big screen in the Spitfire lounge with a beer in their hand and yesterday there were upwards of 150 in there.

Ah maybe this is the plan to generate more money. Pay to get in and then spend money at the bar all afternoon. It’s a cunning plan!

At least they are watching the game. Seems to me that there are many who spend significant parts of each match behind the stands, queueing for a pie, queueing for a beer - and then leave early too. Given our football at home this season, one can hardly blame them, but £15 entry would cover the beer and pie at a pub, so why not just meet your mates there instead?

The argument about people leaving the ground early has been going for ages, but in fairness you need to be a damned thick skinned fan to stay an watch some of the games this season.
