I really want to turn on a performance to take some points off of the big spenders. After what has been a terrible season it would be nice to f**k Salfords promotion charge up so that they have to lose another £1.7million next year to try again. Health permitting I shall be there hoping we can get a result ,maybe a 1-0 win or 1-1 draw in front of 2301.

Hopefully a solid performance like at Harrogate and hopefully we continue to convert some of the chances we create so your prediction of nicking a 1-0 win or 1-1.

I shall be there in all my glory. Even hanging around to watch my horses fall at the first hurdle in the grand national. It’s a shame there isn’t any Maidstone themed horses running, I can picture it now.
“ and here comes Black&Amber, she’s made it over the first fence but landed awkwardly and is now pulling up”.

Made a killing on Amberleigh House many years ago

Salford City lost £32,000 a week in National League North.
Clubs like this make me sick. No wonder self-supporting clubs cannot compete.

I shall be on my way to the living hell that is Luton airport at Easter.
I'd much rather be at JWW, even if we get thrashed - at least it's over after 90 minutes and I can go home.

Salford City lost £32,000 a week in National League North. Clubs like this make me sick. No wonder self-supporting clubs cannot compete. Absolutely sickening. NL should really start to introduce financial rules and standards to stop this madness. If these losses were in the public sector we would be enraged.
I know, I know, in the short term created "make believe" clubs like Salford and Fylde generate interest in NL and increase TV revenues etc etc etc but the negative knock on effects to other clubs in NL who are struggling to compete with them, just because they want to stay financially viable, are already highly visible.
I also believe that the negative effects that these clubs funded on unreal money is creating on the types of mercenary, has been, physical players we now see in NL and on the quality of the football they produce, is already, and will become even more, a medium to long term disaster as more clubs fold and the NL looks like a war zone. The NL will, and already has, lose its gloss.
I know Man City and others work this way in the Premier League but this is non-league football and rich benefactors buying former non-league clubs and running them for fun at huge losses at this level is threatening to destroy the very foundation of the English footballing pyramid, and needs to be stopped.
Having got that off my chest we can all run to hide out in our NLS bunker and enjoy some real non-league football next year!

I'll be there to watch what passes for a team get relegated for only the second time in 122 years (barring a miracle).
Prediction: 0:2 att 2051

I'll be there to watch what passes for a team get relegated for only the second time in 122 years (barring a miracle). Prediction: 0:2 att 2051 My heart would love to see us win 5-1 with an Embury hat-trick with Jack Richards and Justin bagging the others in front of over 3000, and Salford go bust after the game because their rich benefactors have found a better new club project in America or China or hopefully anywhere other than English NL.
My head tells me 1-3 Salford in front of 2300.
WDH or Henry errors (or both) for two of the goals where we fall asleep at the back and/or just let them waltz in, with the third goal either an unstoppable screamer from an overpaid but clearly EFL quality Salford player or a penalty when Wishart decides to hack down someone who he thinks is the last man (Because he knows Henry will let it in) and get sent off for his troubles.
Our goal?
A last minute consolation when the team wake up and start playing when the game - and our NL place - is dead and buried and either Powell or a sub like Embury or Richards scores in front of the 235 left in the JWW as everyone has left to drown their sorrows at being relegated.

Well said oldboy73. When we joined the NL, only FGR were trying to buy their way into the FL, though admittedly the likes of Eastleigh and maybe a couple of others were cranking it up as well. Now, only a couple of years later, we have Salford, Fylde and several others chucking money around, artificially inflating the cost of decent players. What it has not done is improve the standard of football, because there is now a serious lack of creativity, just a bunch of teams with big, physical players, epitomised most of all by Solihull Moors. Good luck to them, but it ain't what I want to see, though I didn't want to see what we have been served up with this season either!

Having tried to get my 7 year old into football for the last two seasons I am now taking him to a championship game instead tomorrow as his love of football has yet to be sparked watching Maidstone usually resulting in the iPad coming out in the second half to stave off boredom! He is showing signs of being a good defender, but he needs to see how it’s done properly! I will take him again next season in the vein hope we win some games and entertain the crowd!! I will be Maidstone forever, I just hope the boy sticks with us rather than strays to the South East London team who will remain nameless but play quite near Bermondsey and who not many people like, but they are not really bothered by it!! 🦁
