The fans will be the ones that suffer here. The vocal ones on social medi, I couldn’t care less about, but as with all clubs, mostly are decent.
The owner is minted (well has access to a large credit line) but it seems he has lost interest. Best outcome would be a sensible sale, with good facilities now, and for the club to cut their cloth.
It’s annoying, and with news of Salfords losses also released this week, but it is modern football and the problems are permeating further and further down the pyramid.

It's a strange one this, I don't actually think he's lost interest, as he's at most home and some away games. Yes us fans do suffer, I can stand in any away ground and have a proper chat with away supporters, and have done so on many occasions, it's a shame that the morons have spoilt it all for everybody else.

Players have now been paid, however no mention of them paying K Sports

Even in Ambridge, where Natasha is living on credit, to Tom's dismay.... I can't believe how much she has maxed out on credit cards!

I don't get why this is an issue regarding us? There is no chance we would get a reprieve if anything did happen to Ebbsfleet or Gateshead as we are likely to finish bottom anyway. Like we deserve to stay in this division. Just a stupid thread... It isn't a stupid thread because in 2014 both Salisbury and Hereford went under, so Dartford who finished 22nd, stayed up. In 2011 Rushden went under so Southport stayed up. In 2010 Sailsbury (again) went under. It happens a lot. We weren't going to finish outside the bottom four, but we might finish outside the bottom two.

Players have now been paid, however no mention of them paying K Sports As I said before it's all a bit weird, apparently the squad are training at K Sports today. Your guess is as good as mine Toon.

Is there not something in place that would prevent Ebbsfleet being accepted to the EFL considering their books? If you have to have minimum capacity / a certain amount of seating / home & away ends, etc. would the fact they have had significant financial issues relating to wages and their training facilities not be a factor also?

I looked on the EFL site and could only find reference to an insolvency event, not late payments. I doubt the fit and proper person test would apply, given some of the, ahem, characters in the game. I thought upfront bonds were introduced after another certain Kentish club went bankrupt, but again, couldn't find a specific reference.

Yep to me it seem's wrong to lump the Likes of Gateshead with the Fleet, although the outcome to creditors, supporters and players gives a similar feeling! Clubs like Gateshead are recruiting players, running up debts etc., knowing they haven't got the finances available to pay for them! To me that seems like fraud! Whereas, the likes of Ebbsfleet have the resources, but are slow paying! (Something all large British businesses are also guilty of!) The problem for the players is do I play for the likes of our club and be paid on time? or do I play for a Club like Fleet, earn twice as much, but are paid up to 6 day's late each month? To me that seems more like dis-honesty and dis-respect than fraud!

I think both sets of players should go on strike this weekend and as they are due to play each other it will not effect any other club in the league.
