I read Will’s comments on KM online to Me he is going 100% He mentions the distance being high for the Conference South!! I’m sorry but if he was Black and Amber through and through he would be driving that distance for Maidstone United and not for the league we are in! As mentioned by John Still players are mercenaries out for their own career. The only player in recent years who signed for us when he could have played higher was Joe Pigott a the start of last season and that is because he is a local lad who liked the club and Saunders. I thank Will for his efforts as he did really throw his body on the line and made more effort than most of this season’s squad, but did as has already been mentioned make several mistakes that cost us. Let’s hope who ever replaces him works out well. If he goes to Bill and Ricay I will be pissed, but other than them I can’t see a NLS side worth signing for over us.

They are hardly NL game changers who could have avoided relegation so why bring them here at all? Puzzling.

The first part of what you said still makes no sense to me at all, as both may be OK players but even if they had got other great players around them they are not exactly NL game-changers who could have kept us up, and I though JS2 and HH had come here kind of knowing we were dead meat NL wise anyway?
The second part kind of does make sense but if the Donnellan's DONT get offered contracts for next year by JS2 it does question JS2 and HH's recruitment strategy as being as bad as the Clowns and therefore a real worry for the big clear out if they only brought the Donnellans here on trial as they didn't exactly play them regularly to test them much - especially not Leo.
If the Donnellan's DO get offered contracts but decide to run for the hills (and who could blame them) fair enough, but that also wouldn't be encouraging for fans from a couple of John Still recruits if they don't want to stick with JS2 after he's brought them here.
I guess I am still too used to past players coming to the club and staying at the club purely because of their liking for our former Manager who mustn't be named, as quoted by many players on many occasions back then. I know, I mustn't look back.
Trouble is, looking forward is still very foggy at the moment and lacking some hope unless JS2 and HH can start to clear that uncertainty and give us hope for NLS - especially as season ticket early birds are being touted. Come on Oliver, would you invest money in a club whose future is still (Pardon the pun) so unclear? I'm sure you wouldn't!

I think Still knew we had a weak squad and added Shaun to it as he knew him. A cheap option to prop the squad up. Leo, I am summizing, was just a body to bring in and as his brother was already here, kind of made sense. Maybe a favour to Shaun?
I don’t think reflects JS and HH strategy for next year or their ability to pick a decent player. It was just a solid body to get in and make up the numbers.
That’s the way I see it anyway.
It must be tricky to come in so late in the season, with no room to manoeuvre due to the player turnover we had earlier in the season. Also having to “give it a go” but probably knowing there was no chance

Grow a pair. What? Up yours! Analysing the current Managers recruitment approach and being concerned with it is lacking balls? Then by your measure everyone on these threads with an opinion and a concern lacks balls? Why are you even on this site then? Go forth and multiply.

Pretty much spot on pieman although I like Romains battling and think he may do well against NLS defences, and I also like Jarvis Edobor and think LEO Donnellan should play more. Otherwise, very much what I suspect a lot of us think about the squad, with a few minor differences like mine for Romain and Edobor. Surely Edobor will be going back to Brentford or did we sign him whilst I was asleep and missed it? Looks like he has gone back to Brentford . He played for their B team against Welling United on Tuesday in the London Senior Cup Final.

He played for their B team against Welling United on Tuesday in the London Senior Cup Final.Jarvis has gone back and trained with Brentford b and played a few games for them during his time with us. I think the donnellens were brought in mainly due to the lack of options in the squad, stull knows them and there work ethic, they weren't going to keep us up, anyone who expected still/hakan to keep us un nl are kidding themselves they had no hope. Imo the squad breakdown and who i would keep Goal: Lewington - keep - starting keeper Henry - get shot Strizovic - keep - can learn from lewington Defence: Wdh - keep - likely to leave though Swaine - keep Jarvis - let go - not enough there for me Mclennon - keep a bit injury prone but there is a player there. Jordan wynter - let go Davies - keep i like him in that cm holding role Wishart - let go likely wants higher level S donnellan - keep versatile player dependable Midfield Coker - let go too light weight doesn't work hard enough Powell - will go - wouldn't mind keeping him but he'll be gone Amaluzor - keep already under contract L donnellan - keep nothing special but puts a shift in Walton - coaching staff only Muldoon - let go never reached his potential Phillips- keep brings a lot to the team plays in a few places Richards - let go just not good enough and too greedy Taylor - let go not as bad as some on here say but not enough to keep imo Attack Turgott - will be gone Cassidy - will be gone Romain - let go think at nls level better options available Embery - keep keep keep keep Personally think we will want a squad of 20/25 players, Barnet had 34 listed on the back of Tuesdays programme, we had 24/25 (Paxman was still listed, as were wynter and coker), if we get a squad of 20/22 and can bring in a decent quality loanee or two (maximum) then we should do well. I think that we will have a number of signing announcements which won't set our fanbase slight but i think that the players will turn out and perform for us, still can unearth some gems, plus i think we'll have a couple of wise heads who he has worked with before. I also think he knows how to get the best out of the budget he's got.

Close enough imo, although I would probably keep Romain and favour Lewington as a GK coach rather than 1st choice. Don't give up on Turgott just yet either. Also I would prioritise quality over quantity thus limiting first team squad to say 17/18 players plus best academy players to fill in as necessary

Lewington as GK coach if his passion isn't to play, but if so PLEASE lets get an experienced GK next season or at least one that's more confident/better than the youngsters we had this year like Henry.
I like the idea of blooding more Academy players in NLS but not sure if that's in JS2 and HH's plans............................which still seem to be Top Secret.

I just wish he had the minerals to say outright look people I,m off thanks for the good times an the money. He will do what all other players have done, what an see if any clubs make an offer for him if not he will stay on here.
