Did anyone enter that "design our new kit" competition? Sign of everyone losing the will to live that it never even got a mention on here...

Does it matter what it looks like as long as the club gets your £35-40 for a £2.99 shirt.

Did anyone enter that "design our new kit" competition? Sign of everyone losing the will to live that it never even got a mention on here... I entered, because I'm a sad muppet, but I did question the timing of the competition given our dire position on the field and therefore probable total fans apathy to giving a monkeys what next years shirt looks like!
I did consider submitting an old style prison costume with arrows all over it, either pointing downwards to relegation or upwards to promotion from the NLS depending if we are optimistic or pessimistic about next year, but couldn't find that option on the Kit builder. Based on this year it would be down arrows at home (To defeat) and up arrows away.
I guess the competition may resurface when we are mathematically beyond saving from relegation and this years players start to depart and the Management are free to talk about rebuilding for next year - then someone may care what shirt we are in. I just hope we ditch the poncey purple and go back to white away kit, but I know quite a few people love our tribute to all things puce and flowery when we play away. Bless them.

Another sad one who entered had an email back thanking me for my entry which would be considered at a meeting in the near future.

Yet another chance for the club to get people paying best part of £40 for a shirt.

I think it's time for retro - that shirt with the off-centre verticle (black and white?) stripes from the 80s was alway my favourites.
Failing that, let's have the bee arms back - we seemd to play better wearing that strip...

What about a black and Amber gingham style shirt with plain sleeves the left being all black and the right being all amber but a foot longer than the left to make it unique therefore everyone in the world will be talking about it and who knows half the world may even buy one thus providing the money to finish ground improvements. Add to this black and Amber vertical stripes on the shorts and horizontal hoops on the socks and we will look like a fucked up Tele channel.
