I'm also not sure what to think of Amaluzor as he seems to make good runs but cant seem to get ball under control?? What Amaluzor has got is the potential to produce moments of great skill ( like his superbly taken goal last night ) mixed in with some frustrating miss fires ( like his pen ). If he was good all the time he'd be living in a mansion & playing Champions League. Definitely one to persevere with though. Look where that has got us with Paxman, persevered with him season after season an got nothing to show for it really.

Although the result was good for us and hopefully a much needed boost for the teams moral, but was a tad disappointed with the crowd, just expected there to be a few more.

Can't blame those who stayed away though; a meaningless game against a meaningless club. The BIG Kent derby is this Saturday against Gravesend
btw has anyone else noticed we're the only Kent club left in the KSC?

Would have loved to have gone but still in Cheshire.

Have to disagree. Gills will always be our main rivals. Then Darts, Then Fleet, Then Tonbridge.

A GILLS PERSPECTIVE (fans forum)
427 Gills fans is a very good effort for a Kent Cup match. I'm certainly interested how the match goes if anyone can bother with a match report. Maidstone are our nearest rivals and as much as Gills fans like to slate them it would be great to play them in the league. Just back from game; bit unfortunate to lose 4-2 on penalties after having most of the 2-2 draw; Gills goals, Campbell and List; List and King (wildly over bar) missed pens
Quite entertaining game - good atmosphere; Maidstone tried hard but were limited - Paxman looks their best player, and they've just put him on transfer list!!
Complete reserve 11 but same formation ; List and RCC quick and effective and Oldaker ran midfield; King and Campbell very ordinary; Lacey making mistakes even at this level; rest did quite well
A good run out for the fringe players; look forward to next years game

meredith is good? nonsense Ok Meredith is good enough for KSC against Gills kids, but yes, you are right, I don't see him as one of those who'll be around next year - which is most of the squad, don't forget.
The Dan Meredith debate is settled, he's returned to WBA: www.maidstoneunited.co.uk/
