Kick and Rush. Well the first was a superbly timed run from Embery and a pinpoint pass to pick him out. The second was in many respects, identical. The timing of the run and the vision of Phillips to pick him out was what made the chance. Hardly kick and rush. We have tried to play the kind of passing you advocate from time to time and it is often so pedestrian as to be painful. Injecting a bit of pace doesn't make it kick and rush. Havant weren’t pedestrian in their passing just no end result. Our Passes for the goals found their mark yes but for NL professional football our passing should be better. If you are talking Semipro and NLS then a midfield passer looking to put the sprinting striker through all the time is more acceptable - and Embery may score 30 goals like that in NLS like that. Seems like we have been so not a proper NL side for so long now our expectations of good football are getting lowered. Hey if it works in NLS and we come straight back up like that I’m not knocking it but all the time we are Full time I don’t thinks it’s unreasonable to expect some more passing that’s all. Maybe it will come in time. Who knows. Still not really sure what you're getting at. No one said anything about Havant being pedestrian, but we certainly have in the past. In the first half on Saturday however, there were at least four occasions where an incisive pass from midfield freed a striker in behind the opposition back line. They weren't hopeful punts, but precise passes into forwards making intelligent runs. It's true not every attack was like that but then it doesn't come off all the time and sometimes the forward doesn't make the run you were expecting, but I certainly didn't see any hit and hope, or wack it into the channels and hope the forward can catch up with it. It's been demonstrated time and again (particularly against us) that teams who prosper do it by moving the ball quickly from back to front and that is precisely what we did in the first half on Saturday.

I agree. From where I was standing I thought we had an excellent first half. H&W couldn’t cope. We were winning the tackle and the passing was sound on several occasions. Second half just seemed to peter out but by then we were just going through the motions. We could still be playing and I still think H&W wouldn’t have scored

GAME ON ! ( MUFC TWEET ). That's good. Players will be buzzing and confident after Saturday. A delay is the last they needed.

No Swaine tonight. Injured? Surprised to see Davies back after being stretchered off on Saturday.

Bit of a contrast - stretchered off, plays, slight knock, doesn't play...

Swaine has a calf strain so definitely not worth risking.
