Nick you seem to have an obsession with the inspiring Mr Sword. Think what you like jakeyboi and I'm sure you will, it's still a free country. Imo, sword manages to project as one of the most erudite and cultured posters on this forum. A real supporter and a decent bloke with a great sense of humour too. BUT on the negative side he so often describes a depressing and critical picture of all things Stones, which conjures up feelings of hopelessness and despair. Just feel the need sometimes to counterbalance the darkness of these bleak thoughts with something a little more amber tinted. Amber tinted Hmm! Your wish is my command oh great one and so I just thought I would let you that I have opened my bottle of Glenfiddich 18years old aged in a port cask . It is a wonderful deep Amber colour and doubtless will combine perfectly with my jet black liver.🤪🤪🤪

I think the hoplesness and despair is more of a reflection of myself and my own personal circumstances which mainly unintenionally creeps into my thoughts about Maidstone . This season hasnt been good and things are likely to get worse before they get better but things will get better as for me I live each day as if it could be my last and maybe ,hopefully one day soon it will be.

I dunno Sword. I don't think we've ever met, but for the most part your posts make me smile. Then, every once in a while, you post something like this. As a fellow sufferer from mental health issues, I hope you have all the support you need (and if not, you can always reach out here via DM). It's been a horrible season, but let's not let it define us, eh? Without wanting to sound like a soppy git, I'm sure I'm not the only person who wants you to know that nobody exists in a vacuum and that you're not on your own.

Can't afford a vacuum but I've got a dustpan ad brush . Thanks for the kind thoughts and happy birthday🎂

Being wistful for a moment, wouldn't it have been good if JS2 could have come in early this season to mentor JS1? Where would we be now?

Probably 2nd from bottom and bloody confused especially those of us that shop at Sainsbury's on a Saturday morning as that would mean going to JS3 before going to see what JS1 has learnt from JS2.

I think we should scrap HS2 now we are using these sorts of digits. Think of the money we could invest in the squad

Not wishing to rerun the old debate on a different thread but I thought it telling that in JS' ramble in the Friday interview where a lot was made of local and academy players he didn't mention Jack Richards.

Funny old thing isn't it, when people actually say the opposite to what they probably mean.
For example starting a post with "Not wishing to rerun the old debate"
You may believe it is reasonable to suppose that the poster doesn't wish to keep this saga running and running
On the other hand -----------.

Believe what you will. It was an attempt to make a one-off observation on something new that was said (or not said) by management yesterday.
