Forget all the obvious stuff from this truly terrible year and digging over old ground - we have new Managers, some new players and yet our performances are even worse than ever and as the BT sports guys said at Moors - our heads just aren’t in it. So why can’t JS and HH get this bunch of players to turn in any kind of performance irrespective of whether or not those players will be with us next year or not? Better still, play ONLY players who will feature in NLS - including some academy players - who have reasons to play well? Why ARE we so bad?

If any of us had the real answer to this question we would be beating a path to Bill Williams office an demanding we get JS wages and become a local hero who turns the club in to champions.

True, but you have to wonder and reading about the woes at Gateshead, you wonder even more. If ever a team had an excuse to ease off its them, yet they continue to get results. Maybe they are prospering because they are down to the bare bones, whereas 56 players in a season is not going to build much in the way of camaraderie. Equally, it must be pretty obvious to the players than many will be looking for a new team next season. The Solihull game was a golden chance to get noticed, yet even here they couldn't raise the effort. Maybe their agents are telling them there will still be plenty of opportunities when they get released, but you'd think the word is well and truly out in terms of how poor Stones are and you wonder just who will want to sign any of our lot?

I think it is all down to my sister. I have taken her to 4 games this season 3 at Maidstone all wins and one at Tonbridge where Merstham won so yet another positive result there so maybe I should drag her down kicking and screaming to the last 11 games and watch as we survive by a point.

It looks to me like everyone at the club has given up on this season.. the problem is it is only March. The supporters are depressed and can't take any more awful football, the players (apart from a couple of exceptions) show no enthusiasm for the cause, the management team are looking at the 2019/2020 season and the directors are conspicuous by their absence in recent weeks. The final weeks of the season could be as bad as it is possible to get as a football fan.. before we come out into the sunshine in July full of optimism for next season's assault on the NLS title. COYS!

COYS! I think your right everyone involved at the club appears to have written this season off, yet they still need and expect our support week after week, that is why I keep on that they should come out of the shadows an offer us fans a apology and as a token turn round an say right last game of the season is free for everyone to get in.

I don’t think we’ll get another point. Just saying there’s 33 points, but as I said a few weeks back the players body language suggested to me then they were defeated mentally

Pity we cannot bring that date forward to now an start re-building for the NLS or at least have JS an his gang explain to us how they plan on getting us back to usual standards.

Away form isn't that bad but just one home win all season in the league is ridiculous, I've never known a team at any level have such a bad home record in comparison to their away form.

One of the most glaring bits of bad play on Saturday was when Walton was facing his own goal with a Solihull forward breathing down his neck, and Henry stood there like the kid who's been picked to go in goal but hasn't a clue what to do. No sign of helping out. That was when Walton lost his rag and flung the ball to the ground. OK one of about 6 occasions when he lost his rag. Some of these players will find themselves without a club next season if potential managers take a look online at how they've been playing in recent weeks. I don't know if footballers get interviewed before being given a job, like the rest of us, but the answer to the question "what did you do to try to stop Maidstone getting relegated?" would be interesting. Embery looked good, audacious flick and shot, and great to see Blair back and quite sharp. "Blair and Embery Army!"

That was kinda what I was trying to say about the points. steveh was saying it’s still only March and technically we’re not relegated yet, but feels like we’ve been relegated since before Christmas. We keep hoping next game it’ll come good, but it’s just more shite. We’ve had 3 managers and 2 temps. That’s why we are where we are. I’ll be there Saturday though, again, hoping, again
