I think the threat of losing the ground has helped increase demand. I also reckon being a friendly inclusive place encourages a few extra people along. They seem to have tapped into the super rich Dulwich village set which is great for the club. However you should have seen the indignation on the faces of the village people when those louts from Maidstone used naughty words at the game at Champion Hill!😊

Dulwich isn’t that rich - it only is compared to the rest of SE London

It's where Farage went to school. So it's not part of the Elite at least.

I know we're not supposed to mention you know who. But, seconds to go. You're losing 4-1 at home on telly. Imagine, not an empty seat in the main stand. The terracing looking as packed as it was in the first minute. No embarrassing mass exodus. The fans still singing for the players. Fair play to you know who.

Who said we're not allowed to mention them. I just find it odd that some people are obsessed with their attendances. Last time I looked you didn't win anything for having the best attendances. Just a shame we can't concentrate on supporting our own team rather than looking for things other clubs supposedly do better.

2330 today against Torquay. A welcome increase on earlier rounds. Although 1006 fewer than you know who last night.

Over a cuppa, I've compared teams' league positions and attendance rankings in the Nat and Nat South... So their league position, attendance ranking, difference between the two.
CLUB LGE ATT DIFF Barrow 1 15 14 Bromley 2 10 8 Solihull Moors 3 14 11 FC Halifax Town 4 9 5 Yeovil Town 5 6 1 Torquay United 6 7 1 Harrogate Town 7 22 15 Woking 8 8 0 Notts County 9 1 8 Dover Athletic 10 21 11 Stockport County 11 3 8 Dagenham & Redbridge 12 17 5 Boreham Wood 13 24 11 Hartlepool United 14 5 9 Barnet 15 19 4 Eastleigh 16 11 5 Maidenhead United 17 20 3 Chesterfield 18 4 14 Aldershot Town 19 12 7 AFC Fylde 20 18 2 Sutton United 21 13 8 Wrexham 22 2 20 Ebbsfleet United 23 23 0 Chorley 24 16 8 Average difference 7.42 Wealdstone 1 7 6 Slough Town 2 10 8 Havant & Waterlooville 3 3 0 Weymouth 4 4 0 Bath City 5 6 1 Hemel Hempstead Town 6 15 9 Dorking Wanderers 7 11 4 Braintree Town 8 19 11 Maidstone United 9 2 7 Billericay Town 10 9 1 Hampton & Richmond Borough 11 16 5 Chelmsford City 12 8 4 Concord Rangers 13 20 7 Dartford 14 5 9 Welling United 15 17 2 Oxford City 16 22 6 Chippenham Town 17 13 4 Eastbourne Borough 18 18 0 Dulwich Hamlet 19 1 18 Tonbridge Angels 20 12 8 Hungerford Town 21 21 0 St Albans City 22 14 8 Average difference 5.36
I've done this partly because I'm bored, and partly because JDL and others equate big attendances with league success in a "say it often enough and people will think it's true" kind of way (ignoring Bournemouth, Wycombe, Portsmouth, Accrington, West Ham, Tottenham and others who prove that it isn't)...
See you next week [or the week after...] at Oxford City...

Ha - week after! I'm wishing time away... Is Abingdon really that dull of a town for you to get that bored ? I was at work. It's a thing where you sit in an office and... oh never mind. Jerome K Jerome comments in Three Men In A Boat on how dull Abingdon is...
