I was tempted to go home early last night for the first time in years, the only reason I stayed till the end was because I realised I didn,t have a front door key so had to wait for the good lady wife anyway so it was a pointless exercise. An apology from JS would not go amiss after last night. And some honesty. Nothing to lose. If the players don't like it and want to leave, that's good isn't it? Funny because I just posted on another thread that during this diabolical season it would not hurt the owners to come forward an say sorry to the fans who have paid hard earned money to support the team this season, maybe they could give us free admission for the last home game as way of an apology.

The owners are showing themselves to be so out of touch as being able to run a football club.
Apart from the occasional good luck tweet from OA there really isn’t much frank admittance they’ve ballsed it up and we’ve had plenty of piss poor performances for them to apologise about but they haven’t. Every football club is a business but I think that’s where it ends for them after seeing how they’ve operated this season.
I used to really dislike Gold and Sullivan at West Ham, and whilst still not perfect actually do front up and apologise for things, and this season have actually listened to fans complaints in getting in a good manager and investing. Obviously wallets are different but the sentiment is the same.
It seems they don’t have any plan other than the season in front of them, papering over the cracks

Christ almighty, the sense of entitlement on some of these posts is astounding. Why should the owners apologise. You wouldn't even have a club without them.

I didn’t agree with some of their decisions but who hasn’t made poor choices in their lifetime!! They have been phenomenal owners and won’t pay what they haven’t got. Would people rather have a tamplin type?

Don’t you think, maybe, like managers that sometimes you’ve gone as far as you can. The owners are superb, but maybe it needs to go up one more level. Maidstone has a huge potential that maybe they can’t fulfil. Before you start going remember this and remember that, now is now. So f**k it, we want to go up not down. Just saying

I’m just saying. Maidstone for its size if successful could have potentially 20k plus supporters in the future. Salford and Solihull will never. Investment on that basis could be classed as success, then who knows

And that cuts both ways Daveu they would not have a club if it wasn,t for us, week in week out putting up with this tripe we deserve an apology for putting up with it, plus if they expect our continued support in the NLS then it may be good business for them to keep us all happy an engaged.

This repetitive line of defence cannot last forever. Yes we should thank them for what they've done, but I fear they're not our future. Finding suitable new investors though is easier said than done!! Remember even Churchill didn't get re elected after saving Europe from the furher.

Oh get over yourself. Our support was a lot more needed at Sittingbourne and Ashford, not now. All those who rocked up when we came home, supported the team through all the success with Jay living the football dream of promotions, now the last season or so we're going through a very bad time you expect a thank you for putting up with performances?? un-bloody-believable!

They are probably the club with the richest backers outside the Premier Division and the Salford area has a huge population. They`ll be in the FL before long. Had you put AFC Fylde, instead of Salford, i`d agree with you totally. Sincere good luck to Maidstone v Solhull. The National League`s top division will be a lot poorer without the Stones in it. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Maidstone post bingo.
When expressing your not happy with the current club, if directly related to it are the words “Sittingbourne” “Ashford” or “ryman” do a shot of sambuca

The reason these words keep coming up is to give the newer fans some context. They did not live through the later day PBB years.. yes things are shit now but new money does not come out of thin air.
