I take it he was pre-Wilderness Years as well? I never knew the name, but he sounds familliar. Although he could have been one of two dozen from those years - especially up in Critics' Corner! He's been around that long I think he was Pre-Raphaelite. Was he the manager before Watling?

Oh yes but I think he done it to wind people up as much as anything. I first met him st a game when I was 14 and I called him a moany old git and he slapped me round the head and told me less of the moany you. And so he became the old git and I think towards the end he loved and revelled in being called such I take it he was pre-Wilderness Years as well? I never knew the name, but he sounds familliar. Although he could have been one of two dozen from those years - especially up in Critics' Corner! Yep Uncle Albert was an "oldie" RIP up there, hopefully there's a Haribo sweet shop up there for you 😀

Did I miss a tribute to Albert or did the club just not bother with him?

Did I miss a tribute to Albert or did the club just not bother with him? Did anyone approach the club about a tribute? They can't really be expected to keep track of every long term supporter.

I will be there along with several committee members and members of imusc on which he served for a number of years I have also organised a floral tribute on behalf of our members If you listen carefully you’ll probably hear him have a moan for one last time as they carry him in! You couldn’t help loving the fella!

I really can't believe he has been gone three years now! He often gave me a lift home after away games
