I have similar stock of some Stones programmes from the 50's, 60's and loads from the 70's and 80's - including scrapbooks full of old KM reports and photos which I offered to the club once for their archives and even they weren't that bothered to have them, so good luck trying to sell them! I think the days of having little huts at Non-League grounds full of such historic programmes - as well as that days match programme - are a thing of my very old memories - they don't exist today, sadly! You might try to contact ' Stones History Guy ' on this forum, he might be absolutely gagging for Stones nostalgia ….. Indeed, Stones History Guy, if you are missing chunks of info from 1973 to 1981, I'm certainly your man!

To be diplomatic, you might want to seek clearance from 'Mrs Stones History Guy' , who might think they already have more than enough Stones stuff …..

The club needs to establish a museum and archive, and then appeal for memorabilia from the fans.
Then we could all dump our old junk on them, let them worry about it, and give our wives the satisfaction of thinking of something new to nag us about!

Seeing Stone History Guy pop up reminds me. I'm clearing out the cellar at the 'moment' (actually for most of the last year!) and I've got a stack of old Stones programmes and other memorabilia dating back to 1980 (excluding the Wilderness Years). I haven't really got the room to keep all this stuff, so I wondered if anybody wanted it? Someone who has a collection, for instance, and may be able to fill gaps from my stuff, or do the club have a collection of Stones stuff? I don't particularly want anything for it (I can't imagine that most of it is worth anything anyway), but I also don't want it to go to someone who’s just going to sell anything worth having and bin the rest. I don't really want to bin most of this stuff, but almost all the programmes are the old style ones which were basically the same dozen or so pages for each game, and I can't see anyone really wanting those. But there are several boxes of them and they take up valuable room (or so my wife says…) Also got some West Ham stuff from the 90s/early 2000s - mostly programmes, but a few other bits and bobs - a centenary shirt, for instance. Scan the lot to keep the records and put it on e-bay to the highest bidder. IMHO It's a good idea, but the work involved is overwheling - I haven't even got round to scanning all my negatives in yet, nor digitising my LPs - and those have been on my 'to do' list for at least five years!

Selling on e bay is a great idea, although from personal experience trying to sell old programmes is hard work - there appears precious little demand for old style media stuff, even if you look at them and think ' man, look at those names' etc. A shirt maybe different ( esp if it has provenance ). I have similar stock of some Stones programmes from the 50's, 60's and loads from the 70's and 80's - including scrapbooks full of old KM reports and photos which I offered to the club once for their archives and even they weren't that bothered to have them, so good luck trying to sell them! I’d be interested in the 50’s / 60’s programmes and any photos that are available for my archives / records.

Digitising my LPs is one of those tasks that keeps getting put off. I've had a USB deck for about 10 years now and I seem to manage about 2 a year. It's just so time consuming when you've got other stuff to do. 40 minutes per single album to copy it to the laptop and then maybe another hour cleaning it up, and splitting up and indexing the individual tracks, then another 20 minutes if I want a CD, and the same again if I want to download and print the cover art/booklet.

Why bother when vinyl sounds just as good providing you clean the stylus once in a while. CD's are dead long live vinyl🤩

Take a wind up gramaphone with you and put it on the back seat or get the wife to hold It and she can flip the disc over when required or buy a David Coverdale LP and that should last until you get to Stockport.
