I'm quite bemused as to how anyone saw anything positive about that tonight, with the exception of Lewington.
There was no quality on offer at all and very, very few of those players look good enough for this level. Halifax were utterly useless until around the 70th minute when they suddenly cottoned on to just how bad we are. They upped their game a little and suddenly the pendulum swung their way. From then on in it was just a matter of time before they scored.
I would say that in my time watching Maidstone United that was easily the worst side I have seen for the level they play at.

Firstly let me say that this post was written after the 21.00 watershed and if easily offended should not be read by you. So where do we start ? For a change let's start in the 92nd f**king minute. We have just been sucker punched and I am slowly hobbling to the exit and Halifax are guarding the ball at the corner flag whilst our players back off and let them. I shouted "someone get in and clatter the sod" I was then taken to task about my out burst by f**king Noah and his great, great, great, great f**king grandson who were disgusted at my language . I pointed out that I didn't actually swear but Noah was offended by the word sod. Well to me the word sod means dirt or earth but he said it was a bad influence on f**king Japhet. Well Noah if you are reading this ,if you want your great, great, great ,add as many f**king greats as you f**king want, grandson to grow up as a Lily livered pansy with no bottle and accepts defeat because he cannot be bothered to fight then that's up to you but if he was my grandson and we were 1-0 down in the 92nd minute and the northern Wankers were shielding the ball at the corner flag then I would want him to go straight thru the back of him even if he got a red for his efforts. Right then back to the beginning as we ran out with only 10 players until I realised that we did have a goalkeeper but he was wearing the same f**king colour as Halifax. The first 10 minutes were pretty even as we were shit for 5 and then they were shit for 5 . The next 10 minutes went downhill culminating in Henry, easily the worst keeper ever to wear a Maidstone shirt, deciding tonight he would try and take out an opposition player instead of one of his own and ended up taking himself out. Thank f**k we will not see him again this season, enter Lewington who is a class above and showed it. The game then drifted from bad to worse and the the idiot in black announced there would be 7 minutes of added time and an audible sigh could be heard around the ground as nobody wanted any time let alone 7 f**king minutes. Now at this time I got angry as in the 3rd extra minute we got a corner and we piled all but one of our players up into the box looking for that elusive goal . The corner was a damp squib and went for a throw to us and a chance to keep the pressure on. Then four of our players ran back to the half way line to join the other one and we had 5 defenders marking a little shortarse shitehouse attacker and we had no-one to throw the f**king ball toš” . The second half showed a slight improvement from both sides but we had as much chance of scoring as Katie Price refusing a shag from anyone with a big cheque book as in none. The sucker punch duly came and Lewington had no chance and then we are back to f**king Noah and f**king Japhet. Was it better than Saturday? Yes but only just and if we play like this at Stockport they will annihilate us providing they take it seriously and i have no reason to doubt that they will not.

If the plan is to come straight back up then I reckon we're all in for a shock. We've got some excellent players but little structure or composure. It looked like we might nick it tonight, until the last twelve minutes. Who are these players then?? last night out of our match squad of 16 I wouldnt class any as being even close to excellent. Other than Turgott and maybe at a push Wishart, none of our lot would get in the squad of a top team in this league. What we have is a group of mostly poor/inconsistent players who after this season will sign for National League relegation fodder or in the leagues below......something ''excellent'' players wouldn't be doing.

That game was absolutely woeful, i couldn't work out who was worse, us, them or the officials, neither team deserved anything from that game as both were crap on a level I've not seen before, even compared to Sunday league games when everyone on the team (apart from the one deluded enough to think he'll still get picked up by a premiership/championship team) is munted after being out on the lash the night before and still stinking of beer.
Positive Thought Davies had a good game as the holding midfielder. Peanut flavoured lion bars available at the burger hut. At least we will see better football on offer after that shitshow
Negatives Too many to list, but special mention to the fuckwits who think driving down jww after the final whistle is a good idea.

Towards the end of the first half I was contemplating posting "I can't work out of we're nearly as bad as them or they're nearly as good as us", but I couldn't face the extra SEVEN minutes, so I went for a piss instead. Another piss at the end (OMB), this time surrounded by jubilant Halifax supporters trying to work out how many minutes it had been since they last scored a goal. I was NOT in the mood for bantz.

Do any of us think an old Stones team of Flisher, Mills, Lewis, Worgan, Reason, Bobby Joe, Finney etc would have served up the last few months' of rubbish? I just want this season over now and let John Still rebuild in the summer. He and Hak know how bad things are...look how short last night's post-match interview was.
If we lose on Saturday that is the season over...

They just don't care for the club. People keep mentioning players work rate but that doesn't win you games, for example Cassidy and Romaine run and run every week but 90% of the time when the ball gets to them they lose possession or misplace a pass.
It was questionable whether a lot of Jay's team could step up in this league, I tell you what i'd have them back to try a dam sight more than I would the bunch out there now.

What a shower of shite that was, try as I may I cannot think of anything good to say about the performance. We have no ideas no passion an no one willing to try any thing that might actually win a game. And the only ones who appear to be suffering from this shambles are us the fans. We might as well get rid of this squad now an start building one for next season, because I can see next season being just as much of a struggle as this one if we are not careful.

Bad as Halifax were, they hit the crossbar twice and on another day the ref would have given a penalty and sent Lewington off. Ergo, that makes us even worse. Thinking about it, Halifax are surviving because they are robust. Thumping headers forwards ( ours go straight up in the air), thumping clearances (ditto). Intimidating tactics grappling and shirt pulling, which somehow go unpunished, while the slightest misdemeanor (sometimes not one at all) gets a foul against us. Stones, on the other hand, pussyfoot around, with aimless balls to no one in particular. Brown, their centre half and captain, was constantly organising and positioning his players, while their number seven, a typically aggressive short arsed winger showed what happens when you have a player confident to run at defences with the ball at his feet. What have we got? Romain and Amalozor tried to do that, but never really threatened - witness the number of actual saves their keeper had to make. Stood near the dugout, first half to see what the coaching staff did and found it remarkable how much they had to tell our players where to go. Up in the Genco, second half, our lack of shape and especially our lack of anticipation, was tragic. Pass and move? Forget it. Saturday could well be the last meaningful game of the season, apart from the one which finally sees us relegated. On last night's showing, that will be sooner rather than later and the quicker we can put this sorry season behind us the better.

What we need to realise is these players just donāt care like we do! They will show up 3 times a week and have a little run around with some other lads that donāt really care that much either then onto a game or two a week where they run around for 90 odd minutes and then have a little chat in the changing rooms about what ācould have beenā following another defeat! Then off home to rest their tired legs in front of dancing on ice where they try and subdue the livid supporters with short tweets like āWE WILL MAKE IT WORK šš¤ā or āTRAVELLING SUPPORT WAS AMAZINGā #believe The reality is these players know they are at the top of their level and will never really make it to the FL proper! When we go down they will still earn about Ā£800 week at some club at this level or the one below and afford the Ā£300 a month on their leased car and rent on their 3 bed semi somewhere within a short drive of JWW. Players that actually car are rare as rocking horse poo! Look at Lewis who went from trying to do our legs in the play off final with Fleet to dancing in the Genco stand to his own bispoke song to then suddenly falling in love with Dover! Players are human and embrace the ego trip of fans cheering for them. I believe John Still has genuine affection for the club, which is just as rare, Iām not sure itās as much as the the previous JS, but that ship has sailed! The heart has gone from the squad, but we have a good chance next season with our set up and Still at the helm. We just need to keep turning up for the last few games to keep the money for next season rolling in, last nights attendance was proof we have the best support in non league.

Most shocking thing about last night - amongst the hundreds of shocking things, is Hakan using the word "Quality" in the post match interview. That is VERY worrying. Yes, the team came out fighting and gave it their all and even gave us things to cheer for until the 87th Minute, (Which was a vast improvement on Saturday, and what us fans long for) but one thing the whole game lacked was quality - on both sides. Neither side played NL football of any quality at all - it was NLS or even Bostik stuff at time with all the keepie uppie headers in the air and constant hoofball to strikers chasing it with no hope of getting to it like poor greyhounds thinking they can catch the rabbit. The Genco even started cheering every pass along the ground but gave up as that only lasted a minute or two before everything was Bostik pinball in the air again - Quality it was NOT!!!!!! Halifax were also very poor and the fact that we cant beat them shows we are far, far, far, from being NL quality. I am sure some of our players could play NL elsewhere (WDH, Cassidy, Phillips, Meredith, maybe a couple more) but in this team they are lost amongst the rest who would at best be in NL squads on benches but would need to go NLS or lower to play regularly. Its woeful. I heard John Still trying to comfort a fan after the game but all JS could do was give Uncle John sympathy and agree with the fan that we just aren't good enough, and so what can he do? He is resigned to NLS for sure. I wish we could just take relegation now and avoid the pain of more games like last night as the miracle just aint gonna happen. If our coach can even use the word quality in the same sentence as last nights game, we will never win a game in NL other than by sheer fluke. If our DoF knows we aren't good enough than NL is over as time has run out. Only positives were that we fought, and we finally got an experienced keeper between the posts. Hope we do get something at Stockport as our season is all about FAT and KSC now, as we are down - and deservedly. Last nights game was a disgrace to NL level by both us AND Halifax - they need to get relegated too on that showing. BTW, this post has not been written in the heat of the evening, but the morning after, when consideration has been given and calm has come. And it still doesn't get better! Painful.

Too many aimlessly hit and hope balls going nowhere... There seems to be no passion playing for the club that the likes of Flish, Mills, Lewis etc showed from past teams... I thought Amaluzor had the grace of a new born giraffe... Why Paxman is on the bench I do not know. As a previous post I thought the ex-football league signings would have something about them but there's no vision of where the ball is going. Every hoofed ball goes to the opposition... We are bereft of any skill or passion... Roll on next season, with a clearout, in the NLS, at least we may win more than 1 game at home.

Jesus Christ, were some of you watching the same game as me? Played some lovely stuff at times, midfield dominated an admittedly poor Halifax and we were the better side for 80 minutes. But!!! you have to take your chances and our shot count must've been in double figures even before half time. If we'd taken even a quarter of our chances then the odd mistake wouldn't matter, but they had about three chances and took one while we had about fifteen and only worked the keeper once.

1 win, 13 goals scored out of 17 home games, pathetic!! Anybody got any theories about our dreadful home form? I can't recall any club at any level having such an appalling home record in comparison to their away form, bang goes any theories about the pitch giving us any advantage. Anyway with relegation all but confirmed we may as well go flat out to win the FA Trophy.
