Given that this is the only game left that actually means something at the moment - prestige and money - while we can only field a weak team, there is a chance, albeit a small one, that they could raise their game and surprise Stockport. More likely they will lose in the usual manner, but our cup record is surprisingly strong, with the only loss so far to Oldham. For most non-league players, this is their only chance of playing at Wembley, so they really should be giving it their all. Certainly it will be interesting to see how good Stockport are - currently doing really well in NLN, but how good is that ? The cynic in me says our ' style ' of random hoof ball might fit perfectly well with NLN level teams.

Hopefully we'll play our strongest possible team and as a minimum get them back to the Gallagher for a replay. It has to be motivational for the players and help them get through the remaining league fixtures while knowing that relegation is a certainty, plus it brings revenue into the club.

Agree with the sentiment but in practice its let down by the unpredictable performances of individual players that has meant five management teams this season have failed to work out what our strongest possible team is.

It makes it interesting I suppose but the endless list of players and formations means that for an entire season no one has the slightest idea of what the strongest possible team is.

the prize money from the various rounds and actually winning the Trophy at Wembley will be worth more than £150k. Not a bad wad to add to the player wages fund for next season.

I’d rather it’s spent on making sure I have phone signal in the spitfire. This is the priority. Either that or a new roof for the gift shop.

Winning the FAT at Wembley still has to be a goal and a for every non league player and fan even if interest of fans and some managers has dwindled, if we can get something at Stockport a new dream is borne to offset the nightmare of relegation! COYS!

I guess that's one of the problems of a metal clad building. Its one of the problems with having possibly one of the worst supporters bar in the country. The place is a soulless barn built for profitable hire with no thought for the supporters whatsoever. The beer is basically Shepherd (f**king awful) Neame and grossly over priced in a bid to rip everybody off. I never drink in there before the game but I do stump up £4.40 ,sorry it's gone up again for NO REASON,£4.50 for one afterwards because by then we all need one.

Two gems from Stockport County's preview of tomorrow's game: "Maidstone have never played at Edgeley Park before, and this will be the first meeting between the two clubs ever." Assuming they weren't being clever and just talking about since we reformed I'm told this statement is untrue. "The lethal striker to watch from Maidstone is Blair Turgott, with 11 goals to his name in the National League, five ahead of his teammate Josh Kelly on six." Nice to see they're taking us seriously.

Hopefully their Manager and the team are being equally ignorant of us and we surprise them. Happy for Stockport to regain their rightful place back in EFL but they would be a great scalp for us in FAT. COYS!

According to their forum Stockport have sold 1952 tickets in advance.
Impressive if true.

Some non league clubs are basically a fantastic social club with a football team attached. I agree the Spitfire Lounge is devoid of any character. I also avoid Shep's because the beer is terrible and they have closed as many community pubs as the pubcos. One thing puzzles me. There is an advert on the scoreboard saying games are live-streamed in the SL. Do people really pay £15 to get in then watch from the bar? Good in cold weather I suppose.
