You’d think we were expected to win today, five the comments on here.
A good battling point against a better side.

We aren't a free scoring team & need to improve as a scoring team.
It's the area we have not progressed over the last four years.

Not a good enough performance today in my opinion, non existent effort or quality in first half, dominated quite easily and Fylde weren’t exactly trying either. The own goal could been prevented.
Second half caught Fylde on the counter and equalised, gave everyone a buzz but not by much, unlucky not to convert that set piece when someone’s header struck the bar. Probably a fair result but Flyde may have killed us off on another day.
Style of play hasn’t changed, it’s pumped long and hoping the opposition make a mistake. Cassidy was MOM today for his running and persistence alone. I was impressed with the two center backs despite their poor distribution.
Muldoon was an utter liability today I’ve seen under 11’s with better footballing intelligence. He offers nothing and hasn’t done all season!

Thought we started the game ok there were a few passages where we had the ball on the floor got it wide and threw it in the box and were getting 3/4 players in the box, problem was ball didn't go to our players.
Whilst Fylde had a lot of the ball and distributed around well, they weren't carving us apart as i had expected. We conceed a soft goal and the game changed we lost confidence they grew in confidence and all their best play was coming from Hemmings who was the best player on the pitch causing us a lot of problems.
Muldoon didn't have his best game, but what other options do we have Aryan is a booking waiting to happen and don't get me started on Paxman.

His kicking is shit though Nick. Kick up the centre. No brainier Apart from the fact that he was almost certainly instructed to kick it wide. Ok his kicking was patchy in an otherwise excellent display I just find it a bit strange to read posts from supporters that highlight the less important negative rather than the really important positive. Kicking IS important. You kick it straight out your just giving the oppo possession back. Especially that 27 who was just skinning us first half

A few people on here seemingly not at the same game as me. Yes we were poor first half but we up against a vey good side who we restricted to a couple of chances. After we scored we were the better side and looked most likely to grab a winner and would have done but for a superb save from Robinson's header. Cheer up people, we may not stay up but there were definite signs of improvement and did we really expect everything to be fixed after a couple of games? I seem to have rediscovered my amber tinted glasses.

Indeed, if you look further up the thread you'll see I heard exactly the same. Disgusting if true. We are in the National League and our 'manager' takes a holiday when we are in the sh*t? Embarrassing. Bit unfair. How many of our fans would take a new job and then cancel a pre-booked holiday. None I imagine.

Probably booked when he thought retirement was beckoning. Don't understand why Fylde are being talked of as excellent. They were average, we were poor, especially first half.

Views and expectations somewhat split on yesterday's game it seems. At the Genco end, it was obvious at lot of people weren't happy, right up to the moment we scored, with Simon Walton coming in for a lot of stick, unfairly in my opinion. The first half plan was pretty much containment, which apart from the usual refereeing decision (pending the highlights), we just about managed by allowing Fylde plenty of possession, but (mostly) cutting out the final ball. However, given the conditions you'd think we might have played the ball on the ground more - or do the management think we simply haven't the skills to do so? Indeed, the latter something to ponder. Paxman can play with the ball at his feet, but too often loses it as a result, but have we got capable of running at a defence as Fylde showed us, apart from Turgott? Whatever the reasons, our midfield were pretty anonymous yesterday. Yes, they chased, harried and held off to prevent the final ball, but rarely did they create anything, with the result that Phillips and Muldoon frequently looked lost between the hoof ball and trying to get back and cover. Cassidy was also getting frustrated towards to the end, hardly surprising as he had nobody to lay the ball off to most of the time. Early days for the new regime, but while it appears we are getting harder to beat, we still don't look like we are going to win because the creativity just isn't there. Effort yes, but that will not save us from our present position. Am trying to think of a home league game that I actually enjoyed this season. Wrexham comes close, but that's it and ultimately, it remains surprising that 2000 home fans still turn up each week only to go home disappointed. Our equaliser showed just how much the crowd want us to win, but I fear it will be next season, a different league and a different team, before we see any exciting play.

I would prefer 3 great saves to 3 great kicks any day off the week ! Let's get behind Henry who looks an excellent prospect.

More questions than answers from today's performance. I'm not one to slag off individual players but to claim that Muldoon had a good match today. Really ? Agree. Not a fan of Muldoon, can't see anything he brings to the team that players we released didn't do better. He sits deeper to play long passes but gets caught on the ball more than Paxman does. Jai Reason had more to his game, as did Lewis.

I had the fortune of being there yesterday. Great time, had far too many libations and got 3 sets of disapproving eyes(missus and the girls) when I got picked up.
Thought it was a very scrappy game, but the main things I noticed were:
A, Wimbledon hoof tactics do not work, we defo need a a midfield playmaking Dynamo.
B, We gave their wingers(who looked fast, menacing and league one standard) FAR too much space and time. Need to close down quicker, MUCH quicker.
C, Stones Lager is exceptionally pissy!
D, Hakan is a scary dude and I would not want to be on the end of a bollocking from him for under-performing.
Still, a point much needed and should serve to give the boys some much needed confidence moving forward. COYMFS!
