His kicking is shit though Nick. Kick up the centre. No brainier Apart from the fact that he was almost certainly instructed to kick it wide. Ok his kicking was patchy in an otherwise excellent display I just find it a bit strange to read posts from supporters that highlight the less important negative rather than the really important positive. That first half save was outstanding, plus a couple of others.

I heard he was on Holiday. That's a relief - now I can moan about the selection and subs without being attacked as anti-Still! An excellent performance from everyone today, and signs that we aren't yet doomed to the NS. I didn't think the first half was as bad as everyone on here seems to think - we held out for 30 mins against the best side I've seen at JWW this season, and even then it was a very dodgy 'goal'. OK, we posed no real threat, but then we wouldn't, with our only goal scorer on the bench (not to mention the two midfielders most capable of bothering Fylde sitting next to him). Fylde were very good, but couldn't score to save their lives - we could have taken advantage of that with a different starting 11 and/or earlier subs. My MotM was Phillips, but it was a close call between him and Whoever-We-Have-In-Goal-At-The-Moment. But, hey-ho, what do I know... Think you need to reboot your memory, or, failing that, the Club website:
of the starting eleven Cassidy, De Haviland, Powell and Phillips have all scored for the Stones this season. All of them at the correct end as well

I heard a car park rumour suggesting he is in the West Indies watching the cricket and losing the test series (presumably a pre booked holiday)

Please don't moan at Henry who was easily MoM. At least 3 great saves, good catching and kept us in the match. Outplayed and outfought in midfield but we hung on. Not sure we deserved a point but we have lost in the past when we should have got something out of a game. Work in progress. Plenty for JS to think about. His kicking is shit though Nick. Kick up the centre. No brainier Apparently we have signed a goalkeeping coach.. from Dover.

Wishart, Davies, Powell and Muldoon played well today, but the tactics were very iffy. Looked like Harry had been advising the team - hoof, hoof, hoof. The only decent thinking came when Wishart intercepted the first poor pass made by a Fylde midfielder, ran through and created the goal. Good work by Robinson there. It seemed to us that we were outplayed by careful passing and composure in the first half and for the first 15 minutes of the second. Our first shot was by their player (our goal). The crowd silent, heads were truly down until Wishart's break.
The individuals we have are much better than the sum total that result in the "team". At times they looked bereft of any composure today. I think we should be very grateful that Fylde missed so many chances and that we hung on for a point. The management need to come up with a decent plan on the pitch. If not, we will go down.
I am not normally negative, but how much more of these primary school tactics are these managers going to serve up?

It wasnt pretty first half but small steps..1-1 v Fylde is a good result. The long ball game was odd considering the wind but I felt we played less of it today against a very good side.

Couldn't make the game, so cannot comment on the performance, but in terms of the RESULT it is worth noting that we have now achieved ONE point from the last 18 available at home. (Also fair to point out, that stat was also true before the game as 7 home games ago we managed a 1-1 draw against Wrexham).
So the result is either a turning of the corner or one of our occasional flukes - no idea which.

More questions than answers from today's performance. I'm not one to slag off individual players but to claim that Muldoon had a good match today. Really ?

That's probably closer to the truth Nick. Indeed, if you look further up the thread you'll see I heard exactly the same. Disgusting if true. We are in the National League and our 'manager' takes a holiday when we are in the sh*t? Embarrassing.

I am afraid I saw nothing today that shows me where the next 3pts are coming from let alone the 20+ we need to survive. I do not see the point of dragging Cassidy 300 miles down South to play on his own up front and not only that at times he was in our 18 years box hoofing the ball up field to where he should have been . I thought Phillips looked a bit lost as he doesn't seem to know what position he is playing this week . I noticed someone said Muldoon played well ,a visit to Specsavers for that man. Our new keeper made some fine saves but his kicking leaves a lot to be desired and possibly needs to work on his communication skills as several times he and Wishart got confused. I wasn't impressed by Meredith but it's early days and Davies looks quite useful. All in all a Good point but not good enough as we slip further behind in the drop zone. Next up in the league is Bromley away and you all know how many points we usually get against Bromley.
