Great news indeed. Welcome back Jake.
I would hope to see him play every game for the rest of the season with one of the nippy little strikers alongside.
From the limited amount I saw on his debut, I'd give Philpot the first shout to play off him.

I doubt whether we will see Philpot again. If he cannot get in the side tonight when we have no strikers there is no hope for him.

Pretty sure he (Philpot) was not available tonight - Still said at the meet and greet that we had no strikers available for selection vs Salford.

I kinda think that Marshy's views on Stones Live, about why Cass is only signed until the end of the season, missed the Elephant in the room. Cass won't sign-up for next season in the NLS be if we do achieve the miracle and stay up then maybe?

Maybe not, but the more immediate reason is that he's only on loan so I guess 'Pools are picking up part of his wages. Maybe we'll have a better budget next year if we stay up and will be able to fully fund him.

Maybe ! Very pleased to see Jake back. For me I would like to see Robinson play off him.

Id imagine its because Hartlepool are proper full time and pay their players all year around why we only offer 44 week contracts. Cassidy ain't gonna sign for us permanently and miss out on being paid May/June to do pretty much nothing.

Maybe you are right but at the end of the day it is the total value of the deal that matters, not whether you are paid for 44 weeks or 52 weeks. Anyhow, I understood that Stones players are given a choice how many weeks they are paid for, with the total value being the same whatever the choice. Cassidy still needs to prove his worth by scoring at least in a 1/3 match ratio in order to secure a lucrative contract for next season.

Somehow, I am having difficulty in seeing the phrases 'Lucrative contract' and 'Maidstone budget' coming together when applied to Carl Jung's concept of word association. Or in this case phrase association, if my grammar is correct, which it probably is'nt. Innit.

I thought there was something about not loaning a player twice in a season. Is this a loan or a full transfer?
