Great interview from an honest footballing man. I feel a lot more confident about the future, not so much this season as this should have happened instead of having the Dealer, but hindsight is a wonderful thing, so lets all look forward to the future, there is no other manager out there that I would prefer. Good luck John I for one am 100% behind you..

Hallelujah! Just what we need to hear. No outright promises, but a lot of common sense. We now at least have hope.

Not seen the interview yet but hey I'll chuck in a hallelujah, a praise the Lord and I'll even chuck in a Few hail Mary's for good measure anything to avoid the last rites. 🤵

Really couldnt have made a better appointment, Johns experience of this league and the quality of players required is second to none. Hopefully he can work a miracle this season, but failing that, next season could be a lot of fun.

One of his biggest attributes is finding a hidden talent as he did with Mark Gall and Warren Barton, a couple more like that will be very welcome

Yes really interesting and open interview from JS (no not that one, the new one, well the older one!)
I'm struggling though to quite understand how being retired from management but being Head of Football differs from being 'Manager'. (I suspect he just felt he had come to the end of the road with Barnet? Probably a story in there somewhere, but who cares?)

Three key points raised by John: a playing identity, home form and the fact that every team in this league is tough to play against (not just Leyton Orient). I hope he develops a relationship with Walton who I believe has become an excellent player, leader and potential ambassador for our club.

Yes, I too thought the playing style comment was interesting. So we are going to adopt a MUFC style of play and go out and exercise it week in week out. Different to our last permy manager, who spent lots of time analysing each opponents weakness and set the style to exploit it. Given that pretty much all of the teams in this league are (apparently) susceptible to Hoofball, I hope that is John's chosen style.
NOT!

Interesting interview now with Hakan too. I was hoping to hear a comforting Eastern European accent to help us gel, but it sounds like he was speaking "Essex" (Or was it East Anglian?) so he may take a while to assimilate. True class though to get the phrase "it was one of them" into his very first interview, he's won me over already!Leveity aside, I think it is well worth watching the interview, I get the sense that he really 'gets' what it is we are all about - still not totally sure tbh what his role really is (maybe Southall2.0?) but I'm feeling encouraged.
Welcome Hakan!

Still makes all the decisions and Hakan does all the running around, I think is the gist of it.
