Great performance and they should hold their heads high. First goal was slack defending maybe, more like excellent attack work. The other two goals, well, we were committed to trying to get back a goal (a classic case). I think we have every chance of avoiding relegation if they keep performing like this. Up front we have had no luck. If we get just a touch of luck we will be on the way up.
I thought Elliot was particularly brilliant today. He and Jake worked their socks off up front and deserved a couple. They were unlucky. Let's see if they, and Philpott who looked threatening, can get goals. Wishart played very well too. In fact they all did. The difference was the goalies. Ross doesn't like the Playdough pitch.
Those calling for Jay to return? Remember who his options up front were: Quigley and Mullins. I say we should stick with Walton.

Bringing back Jay would not solve the problem. The club stated they wanted a manager with National League experience when they hired Wheeler. Clearly they either couldn't get a manager they wanted, or Wheeler was the cheap appointment. Although Jay has experience at this level he's not the man to take the club forward. Getting a manager who will actually get the boys passing the ball on the bloody ground rather than hoofing it would be a start.
If you wanna direct your anger at anyone, aim it at the directors who got us in this mess with the signing of Wheeler.

I thought that we played alright today, just didn't have it in the final third. The daggers took their chances well. The defence on their goals wasn't the best. Can't see us staying up unless we beat Orient next week. It is an away game though!!

Why’s that a laugh? We were never in this much trouble under Jay either in the pitch or off it. A hasty desision and Wheeler appointed- 3 months later, the Team wrecked and raped, I stlll trouble to name every player on the pitch now, and No, Jay will not be back. Be real, it was never that bad before August 28th 2018. It wasnt pretty, but it wasnt ugly.

Gentleman
The owners have clearly got no money or are not willing to gamble spending it on a battle we are very unlikely to win. Philpot on trial is all the evidence we need to realise this. The Clown spunked the money we had available and we all know how that has turned out. The club as a business will still profit in the NLS. We are just going to have to take this on the chin and hope we can enjoy a few games at some grounds with more than 300 supporters in attendance! Let’s find that mystical manager who can build a team for next season and limp this current one over the line. Depending who gets promoted we should have a couple of Derbys to enjoy whilst drinking many many beers by the pitch 👍🏻

Dagenham mugged us off today. 3 chances 3 goals. Think we could have had 4 goals before they had their first. Thought it looked offside also. Second goal killed the game. The first 20 they couldn’t live with us, then they get corner, then score. Totally gutted. Thought we battered them. Well Leyton next week. Try again COYS

No doubt we are strong odds on for relegation right now. But you know, even though we got well beat today, at least the team played real football that was decent on the eye. So much better and enjoyable than the ridiculous hoofball we suffered under the clown. Yes I know we lost and it's all about winning. But personally I'm happy enough for Tristan and Simon to see the job through to the end of the season. The idea that a 5th managerial appointment this season will somehow do the business is a fantasy.

Positives, we played well.
Negatives, that’s as well as well can play and we got stuffed.

The idea that a 5th managerial appointment this season will somehow do the business is a fantasy. The idea of a new manager would be for them to be in place preparing for next season. Surely it be better to get that sorted early so they can focus on recruiting players right after the season finishes, instead of us scrapping around in May trying to find a manager and we could end up missing out on players.

3-0 flattered them. They were nothing special. We score first, we bury them. On another day .....

We need to start looking and appoint carefully. This season is shot. If we are are playing well as people are saying then how come we are losing so badly with average sides scoring three and four? Turgotts return or someone else finding their scoring boots won’t save us. We have to write this year off and plan for next year in NLS.

Exactly. A new manager shouldn’t be expected to save us this year but to build for next. With players who are for the long term.
