We haven’t got a squad where we can spare the luxury of a player manager who dosent play. We are light on the ground as it is, if he’s not going to play unless a brief bench appearance he will need replacing We lose badly on Saturday he will be replaced trust me. If they seriously want the job then this is a must win game against the team riding high in the form table but not to worry next week we only have the team top of the league to worry about ,gets easier dosn't it.

Another weekend, another game at the Gallagher, another...... On Tuesday I turned up with hope and optimism, took my place in the stand, watched the warm up and clapped the players onto the pitch. Then the ref blew to start the game and all hope slowly faded away. A common theme at the Gallagher in recent years but fate will change this weekend.
Remember the date 19th Jan 2019, exactly 22 weeks after our last league win at the Gallagher. We will win, we must win!
I can see the team changing again. Swaine for Wassmer, Edobor for McLennan (if he's injured), Wishart to come back in (has he served his suspension?), and Romaine for Muldoon. 3 points and the great escape starts this weekend. I hope.
Spot on. Maybe we get poor results at home consistently, but we also escape relegation consistently. The team change above looks good. Well, I guess two out of just two is "consistently". Except that we weren't in any danger at all of relegation in our first season, and were never actually in the relegation zone even in our 2nd.

Say its a must win and we will get smashed. Say if we don't lose it'll be amazing and maybe the players will respond. Or not! I cant work it out anymore, and according to SW on KOL he cant either unless he seriously thinks our showers make it too comfortable for our players to want to put in a shift. That even beats the Dealer for extraordinary excuses. SW is starting to sound like Capello in South Africa who was genuinely mystified as to why his England players, so hungry in training, rolled over without a fight in the actual World Cup games. If SW and TL do stay on, they REALLY need a DOF to help them, as I think they are running/have run out of ideas. Clok is ticking. Anyone know what Oliver Ash said about all this (or not) this evening?

Would like to see; 3-5-2
WDH, Walton, Swaine
Wishart, Phillips (wing backs)
Ayern, Powell, Richards
Robinson, Romain
No height, but pace to burn all over the pitch, some fight in their and the experiance of Walton. Got to be worth a squirt

Page 264 mentions kit being hung on metal coat pegs instead of wooden ones this was used after their 2-0 defeat at Cambridge and on page 309 he blames their defeat at Notts County on the smell of the river Trent.

[If you're going to give up on the surname as too hard, you could at least make a better effort at the forename surely???] - We've turned proper tinpot. :-(

Got to be worth a squirt Not bad team, (apart from Swaine, but we don't have anyone better) and assuming George Mac is unwell or unfit, and I think Edobor is better than Wishart. Pax to come on from the bench if Powell is anonymous or Jack Richards is out of his depth. How about Josh Strizovic in goal? He must be at least OK as we must have bought him for a reason and he needs a chance to grab the No1 shirt when Ethan goes back to save us another loanee keeper. He cant be any worse than Ethan was against Maidenhead can he?

One dodgy game and a keeper is toast, it seems. Maybe he could have done better with two of the goals, but he was also entitled to better support from the outfielders. His saves that earned us the win at Hartlepool quickly forgotten?

His saves that earned us the win at Hartlepool quickly forgotten? Ethan is toast anyway. He's a month long loanee isn't he? We need to develop another keeper. At least Josh is permanent, and its committed players we need in the team. Just saying. Also its a straight choice between two young and inexperienced keepers so why not swap between them? If an outfield player has a stinker, he gets dropped, and whatever you say about "he should have had more cover" young Ethan didn't command his box and was all at sea for the Maidenhead goals, so why not see if Josh does better? What have we got to lose?

Good idea. We're deep in the poo, the next game is another 32 pointer. Let's play an inexperienced youngster in goal.
What could, etc, etc...
