Nick put up as many statistics as you want an the bottom line is we ended up with a big fat 0 in the points won column. At this stage of the season it,s all about getting points on the board how we do that is irrelevant. The problem is, we don't win ugly. I'm all for ugly football if it gets us points on the board, but if it's not doing that I'd rather be entertained while losing. Put it this way, I was no where near as pissed off on Saturday as I was on Tuesday.

What are our expectations as Stones supporters? Are our Dopamine levels sufficiently high with expectation after 3 seasons in the NL? Interesting talk, although a bit long if you suffer with ADHD. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vspqIbrzGXU

I started a thread called No Fun at the Gallagher back in August, revisited in December, when things were by now worse and was tempted to revive it again, but really couldn't be arsed. Not longer have any positive expectations, so that way can't go home pissed off when we lose again. However, we don't even seen decent football from away teams this season, because they know they just have to turn up and wait for us to make mistakes. The Elvis End are now outsung by even the thirty or forty away supporters most teams bring and overall, it really is no fun at all.

End of August when we're in a Nat South playoff place, might start being enjoyable again. I don't know how people go and watch this week in week out!

Any newbies since 2012 - I hope you really ewnjoyed the first 5 years, because this is far more like normall football supporting...

I guess so, and if I lived locally I'd probably join you, if only out of force of habit...

I remember in the Ryman Prem years the only Stones goal from open play I saw in about 18 months (a dozen or more games) was Roland Edge finishing off a goalmouth scramble v Harefield (?) - many other games with us looking hopelessly out of our depth / James Pinnock too small. Still came back for more, albeit intermittently. I might go to Chesterfield as I have family in the area, and Solihull if we've started playing better - but otherwise no, got other things to spend time and money on.

How about bringing back prematch and half time entertainment like Spin the Wheeler or sweepstakes on our new manager....or those slightly overweight dancers I seem to remember doing their thing in front of the main stand in IL days maybe with Bill or Terry donning a tutu and joining the fun?

Bill Williams in a Desmond now that I would pay extra to see.
