Not sure permanent is the right word. Indeed, just how many of that list have a contract that goes beyond this summer? Am guessing it is hardly any, so one way or another, there is a lot of recruitment needed at the end of the season and that is why JS and HH are contracted into 2019/20.

Am guessing it is hardly any, so one way or another, there is a lot of recruitment needed at the end of the season and that is why JS and HH are contracted into 2019/20. It's very difficult to find out. Certainly the most recent signings have been only to the end of the season, but I suspect some of the original JS players and some of Harry's signings might have longer contracts. But, even if it's only the most recent signings who are on short-term contracts, that's still at least half the squad (incl loans) who automatically cease to be Stones at the end of April. Still's current policy is clearly focussed on trying to survive in the NL. Obviously, he'll also be looking for players for next season, but I suspect that most of those will be sorted out over the summer (depending what division we're in!). I imagine we'll have quite a different squad come August - presumably with a core of Jay's and Harry's players, but probably not that many.

Chris Lewington signs as back up keeper and coach. Remember him for Margate when they were splashing the cash. Quite an ungainly fellow but good all round keeper. Would be happy for him to be number one if we went down next season or a good back up this year.

And I would echo, I think he is a good keeper

Just a thought.
Out of the 5 keepers we have used this season, not counting our young back up keeper who has not played in the league, who do we think was the best all round player??
I think Worgan May well turn out to be all round the most consistent we have used! I would put them in the following order.
Worgan Smith Warnor Ross Henry I’ve put Henry last as I’ve not seen him yet. Basing it on the comments on here. I can’t think of any howlers from any of them to be honest and not a lot between them.

Smith the best for me, with Ross at the bottom. Nobody stands out like Worgan did in previous seasons. Meanwhile, note that Ashmore managed to stay on the pitch at Fleet yesterday, when four were sent off near the end.

Henry looked ok yesterday, some good saves but can’t judge him on one game I’ve seen him play so far.

I hate to admit it, but I thought Smith was better than even Worgan. If only we could have hung on to him.

Smith was probably better and it's too early to tell with the new guy but Worner and Ross were definitely a step backwards.

See that Jack Richards was runner up to WDH in the player of the month vote. Given how little he plays, a case of fans giving management a nudge, perhaps?
