At the risk of sounding ungrateful for a cup win, it would have been nice to have taken the opportunity to relax and experiment with a more attacking style.

Ok, a good result, but what on earth were we doing in the second half? Having played neat, passing football until we scored, the second 45 was back to the worst of Wheeler's days. In fact we didn't so much hoof it upfield, as hoof it straight up in the air. Not good for Tuesday... That said, Richards did enough, while Tabashk had a good game too - quite creative at times. Felt sorry for him when he got booked for a shoulder to shoulder challenge that the ref waved away when Richards was flattened, in the area, first half. The only thing that saved the ref from being a total disgrace was that he was equally inept to both sides. Not good, but at least can't accuse him of biased for once! Is Tommy Fagg on trial? No name or number on his shirt, so certainly hope we got him registered. However, rarely seen someone so out of his depth. Chasing shadows and out of breath after just ten minutes.

Anyone know who Tommy Fagg is? No name, no number and thus far, no much idea. . Fagg is shown as having last been at Harlow, and Ashford United before that. Hardly a glowing cv. Harlow let him go when his contract ran out last summer - research shows he hardly ever played for them. Came through the Ashford Soccer Elite, also played for Hythe. Sittingbourne signed him after a successful pre-season trial. He doesn't appear on the leading scorers list for Bostik South East.

As it seems we barely could make up the numbers for a team, I think we have to be grateful for any sort of win.

Jarvis Edobor excellent at left back today. Never put a foot wrong. Excellent finish by Richards for the goal but what about the pass from Muldoon out to Paxman, 60 yards like an arrow straight to him, so easy to control and then put in the cross. Did a similar on earlier out to Richards on the opposite wing. Normally only see one pass like that in a blue moon, two in a game is unheard of.

Tabakash had a good game? Really? Don’t know what u were watching? No composure at all on the ball. Breaks up play well but we need more than that in midfield. Happy for Richards so hope he gets a run in the team now and good opportunity to go far in this cup if the draw is kind on Monday. Another lower league team please.

Edobor had a good game and looks a decent player but not a left back. Let his runner go for their best chance of the game that Ross saved well. Muldoon has the ability but is horribly exposed in midfield more often than not. Both midfielders today weren't great. Not a fun game to watch but all about the result so on we march.

Brilliant moment in an otherwise forgettable match, that we nearly buggered up. First half good, second half I will be erasing from my memory asap. Unless we're very lucky and get one of the remaining lower league sides at home, I can't see us getting any further though - if that was the best we can put together out of our non-cup-tied players. We basically had our Assistant Manager and a bloke no one had heard of on the bench! If we run into a NL side, we're royally fucked.

Fagg was announced as 'No 3'. So where was McLennan - can't be cup-tied! Linesman our side (main stand) was beyond belief - twice flagged Fagg (try saying that quickly!) when he was clearly onside. Second time Fagg looked up, realised he was off, ran back on, collected the ball, turned and ran - and was flagged!!

If they weren't 100% then makes sense to save them for Tuesday instead. In the next round we should have both them back and Wishart and hopefully Blair if we get to the semi final.

Notably we have let only two goals in during the last four games. That is very encouraging considering these were against three decent NFL sides and a decent "underdog". Is there some tightness coming into our defensive play? We had five first team players out today - Taylor, Wassmer, Robinson, Wishart and Maclennan. A good rest for them, ready to grind Maidenhead down. If we can keep it tight against Maidenhead and Dagenham then points will come. The forward line seem to be developing nicely too, chances were made at Borehamwood, Hartlepool and the first seventy minutes against Dover (until they scored and we panicked). Phillips is making the right back his position. Jarvis seems to know how to defend. Both have pace. Nice to see Ollie playing his passing game today, giving him more confidence after a jittery first half of the season. And Paxman back in his swing. Things are looking better.
