All this "Dover used to be fun" got me wondering what was the most fun season to be a fan. That one (first season in Ryman South) is mine, but you might prefer First time we won the Gola League First season in Div 4 First season in Kent League First season at the Gallagher Conference South First season in the National
So which was your favourite?

It's got to be the first season in Div 4 - all our dreams come true (and not even the faintest sign of what was to come). The only disappointment was missing automatic promotion by such a narrow margin.
Close seconds would be the first Conference/Alliance win - although that was spoilt by the rigged voting - or the first season back in town - that was special in a way no other seaon could ever be.
As for 'worst season' - it was always the Barry Fry season for me (there weren't really any other bad seasons, as I was only a fan from when JT took over), but I'm afraid this one has been far worse.

for me, the last season at bourne park. the dream of home in maidstone, the dream of not driving to the middle of an industrial park for home games. and the mighty stones corus right through the second half. we may have lost the game but we were going home and didn't care.

The first season in the Kent league with our senior status regained. The first game away at Tunbridge wells when the Stones fans of the time swamped the Culverstone in their hundreds turning it black and Amber. After the wilderness years we were back and every game we played that season was like a carnival.

They were all good fun until we became the biggest side in the world after Barcelona. Now it is all endless moaning and tedious 'sack the manager' after two games etc etc.
