It's a team game and as others have said, when the opposition target Turgott, it leaves room for Romain and Cassidy - the latter playing noticeably deeper at times on Saturday, which shows what an intelligent player he is. A couple of games from Romain terrorising defences and Turgott may well find he gets less attention again. I think we've yet to see the best from Romain, he's improving with every game - turning into a sort of team-player version of Turgott. With Romain, Turgott and Cassidy constantly testing defences, we must be starting to worry opposition teams. OK to suss out Turgott and try to mark him out of the game, but what do you then do with Romain and Cassidy...

Yes, maybe any real threat of doubling-up on Turgott will be eased as Romain and Cassidy increasingly worry defences. In addition, as 61666 says, with Cassidy playing deeper, the potential to pull defenders out will also be a bonus, creating space for others to attack.

Actually we are both wrong because I forgot the battle of Basra in 1914 which started the Mesopotamium war and so we both need to revise our history a bit better

Lawrence who had helped in the liberation of the former Ottoman Empire states. Unfortunately this half-arsed agreement is ultimately the foundation for the majority of (now global) current day problems with the middle east allowing the Wahabis to run Saudi Arabia rather than the Hashemites. But I digress and what were we saying about the Stones?

You are right we were actually planning to drop our leading goalscorer to allow the rest of the team a chance at scoring the goals to keep us in this division a plan that is akin to committing football suicide. Yes Blair is selfish but I am yet to be convinced that Cassidy and Romaine are the free scoring forwards that we desperately need despite the magnificent efforts that both put into their performances on the field. I Also think making Blair captain was a mistake as he probably thinks he has to do it all by himself to justify being given that honour.

You do what works for you , to wish things could be what you desire is fantasy.

The BBC showed Letters From Baghdad recently, a film about Gertrude Bell who was just as influential as TE Lawrence (ie not much) in the founding of Iraq. Which appears to have been the usual British fudged compromise which was bound to fail eventually.

We promised them a future if they helped us in WW1, and then fucked them over.
We promised them a future if they helped us in WW2, and then fucked them over.
Then we did it again in Iraq.
Then we sold arms (tons of them) to one of the most oppressive regimes in the world so they could f**k up another bit of the Middle East.
These Arabs, eh? Funny little chaps who just can't seem to run their countries properly...

We should stick to football.
We're not much good at that either, but at least fewer people die.
