Talking of Mr Major - I once had a teacher of that name, who had a younger brother. They had the misfortune to have been at a minor public school, where they were inevitably known as Major Major and Major Minor. Wonder if they had a sister called Ursa. You're wasted on here. Have you read Catch-22? There's a Major Major in there, who accidentally gets promoted twice and ends up as Major Major Major.

My friend I am wasted most of the time it's the only way I can survive. I think you meant to say Catch 22 and to my eternal shame I have yet to read it but it's on my list of things to do.

For reasons utterly beyond me, spell check no longer works on Proboards on my PC! It's well worth a read - by far his best. Very funny, but very dark too. At one point the squadron's mess officer (purser) arranges for the USAF planes to bomb their own base, on behalf of the German air force. And when the US pilots complain, he points out that, as members of his syndicate, they all made a tidy profit from the operation.

I vote for Sword65 as speaker
How could I sit in the middle of NWS and Dave u and call them right honourable gentlemen without dying of laughter? It would be far easier to get black rod to smack them both with his mace. Blimey and I normally have to pay so much money for such S&M action, Sword. We need a chat soon.
