A decade ago, i really used to dislike /not rate Gary Hill ,as he seemed to only do ok by buying success ;but i have completely changed my view . I think he has done an outstanding job over the summer ,both managing their situation ,and some excellent recruiting. they are actually looking quite strong; and as i admire those who work hard /coach well to achieve success-i really wish him well. i think Ebbsfleet will finish at least mid table-which will be good for them To think Gary Hill & Hessenthaler both wanted the Maidstone job last September and we chose bloody Wheeler.... Still pisses me off now when I think about it.

While Wheeler was one of the greater mistakes in the history of non-league football, I'd rather shit pine cones for a month than refer to Hessenthaler as our manager.

If he had done the job required, history shouldn't matter. We've had plenty of ex-Gills at the club over the years without giving them any grief.

daveharris cannot have suffered first hand the clown. Not much time ? He managed to wreck MUFC in record time. There was no coming back. A total loser. He turned wine into water. Tampers has a very large wallet which the Dealer will happily empty.

Of course (Alan Walker being probably the most significant - and does anybody know how he's doing these days? Hope he's recovered well), but few have had such 'legendary' G***s status. If he'd failed to keep us up - which would have been beyond most mortal beings given the capitulation offered by most of what laughably passed for our team last season - you could have heard the chortling from over the hill of 'they're so s**t, even our legendary favourite manager ever, the man we touch ourselves before we mention his name, couldn't keep them up'. If he pulled off the impossible, then we'd have heard the same in reverse: 'they're so s**t, they needed our hero, the man we touch ourselves before we mention his name, to keep them up'. And I just don't find the bloke that likeable.

Plus doesn't it depend which way round the pine cone is?

I appreciate that we've had loads of ex-Ginnum types at the club, and several of them have served us well.
I just dread to imagine the amount of schadenfraude wafting down Bluebell Hill had we employed that particular individual. And I still don't like him.

Who really cares what they think over the hill. They've got their own shambles of a club to worry about. Christ, if they can give one of the most obnoxious managers ever to grace a football club a chance, surely we could've cut Hess a bit of slack.
