Wonder if we will see Harry's first new signing play tomorrow (Simon Walton). Followed the manager from Billericay Town but looks a very useful defensive midfielder.

Intriguing for a captain to be let out on loan. Bit like when we got Lewis (Stuart Lewis, I just don't think you understand...) and couldn't believe our luck.

I remember for Sutton he was a high energy player who buzzed all around the midfield very much the way Lewis does so hopefully theys a way to stop them getting in each others way.

This is what a Guiseley fan had to say about him
''Sit him in front of your center backs and he'll deal with most of the high balls leaving the defenders free to concentrate on everything else. Built like an Ox!''

Need to change the song to ‘we had Lewis’ as looks like he will be first out the door

Lewis has been below par this season. Perhaps he's been carrying an injury ? Anyhow we've all seen enough of Stu to know that when fit he is 100% worth his place

I wonder what the relationship between HW and whoever is running Ricay is like? Obviously it can't be too bad or Walton wouldn't be here, but I assume Tamplin wasn't involved!

So far, so good for HW. Impressive start. Let's hope it continues at 3pm tomorrow!

Maybe the Competition for his place might be just what Stewie needs!

Interesting (and impressive) 'interview' with Wheeler on the OS, if anyone hasn't yet seen it (the 'meet Harry' session from Thursday).
He comes across very well. My first impression was "My God, he's young!", but I soon forgot that. He says all the right things, and seems quite honest, and he seems very determined to knock the squad into shape - and anyone who isn't up to his standards is out. He must have been a hell of a shock to some of our Squad when he turned up for training on Tuesday!
If he's anywhere near as effective as he sounds, this could be quite a turning point for us. When asked what his taget for this season was, he said what everyone expected - to stop us from being relegated. But he almost brushed that aside, as if it was obvious (and reletively easy!), and then went on to talk about moving up the table and seeing how far we could go. "You can't do anything about the past, it's the future I'm interested in."
I still feel bad about the way the business with with Jay (and Steve) was handled, but it could turn out to have been the right thing to do after all.

Warming - completely random comment alert. Did I mention my dear departed granny was born and bred in the lovely town of Harrogate? What has that got to do with football you ask? Nothing, but this game reminds me of this beautiful lady, and I will feel she is looking down sharing the match together 😀

So far, so good. New player in midfield, plus expectation that everyone must put shift in. Like to think Sutton was playing in that friendly at the G, looks like the midfielder who was doing all the tidying up and pulling more than a few strings - something we have been missing since Lewis and Prestedge worked so well together at the end of our first season in the NL. Interesting to hear HW's low opinion of current fitness too, but then we've not had a sports scientist on the staff before and fairly obvious some of our squad unable to get through a game at full pace. Expect to see all three subs used today and not in the last ten mins either. Hour mark onwards methinks, or maybe even sooner if Harry wants to make a point. Result? Anything but a defeat would be good, but most of all, wouldn't it be nice to see a performance after so many dull games already this season?
