On the theme of play off games. Just noticed Sam Higgins top scorer in the National League South this season signed dual registration with Canvey Island this week and has just scored the opener on his debut in the Sticky North play offs (2 leagues below). Can't believe that is allowed to happen ?
On the subject of the Sticky leagues, have a look at the Sticky South table.
The top five teams all got over, or just under 100 points - Weymouth, in 5th, 'only' got 97! (9 points above 6th place). The Champions (Hereford) got 113!
The goals scored/goal differences are pretty mind blowing too - Kettering scored 122 goals and Hereford's goal difference was +78!!
Bloody frustrating for the teams that ended up in the play-offs though (esprcially for the three who don't gain promotion) - all had the sort of season that only happens once in 20 years, and would easily have earned them promotion in any other season.
Nothing more than another of your tangential smokescreens.
