On a more practical note, thinking of driving to the match. Anyone know how long this would take on an average day with average traffic door to door (appreciate the use of the word average should not be used where the M25 is involved!) I'm driving and setting off from Maidstone at 6. This should be plenty of time except of course its 6 o'clock. Mmmmmm, I'd wind that departure time forward just a bit .........

Not the plastics. Genuine supporters only please. Should be only the ones that went to Gateshead or barrow away then, 60 people tops! While I have not agreed with much you have said, I will of course, agree with this...I was at Barrow away

Should be only the ones that went to Gateshead or barrow away then, 60 people tops! What if people couldn’t afford the long distance trips, or had work commitments. That doesn’t make you plastic. Plastic I mean the people who turn on the players and team and slag them off whilst claiming to be ‘supporters’. The clue is in the name SUPPORTers. Also those who come out of the woodwork for a big home game but don’t bother for many of the other games at home. Now you've called me plastic because I have only turned up fro two games at home so far...Boreham Wood and Barrow (cup)

Spell my damn name correctly for god,s sake. And I do not complain when you miss one game, what I moan about is people like you who do not go an watch a game either home or away but then get on here an post comment after comment. And breathe... I went to almost every home game between 1980 and 1992 and quite a few aways, and I've been to every home game I was fit enough to attend (and a few I wasn't) since we came home - and as many aways as I could afford/make. Judging from your posts, you're quite a bit younger than me, so it's quite likely I was watching Stones (home and away) before you were even aware of the club. But let's not let a few untidy facts get in the way. Or punctuation... It is hard to breathe with all those 'ands' in the first sentence . It reminds me of a Catherine Tate character.

The true tests this season are Torquay and Gateshead away in the Trophy. Sadly I can only claim a 50% pass rate.

No, no, no Pedant. Halifax away on a Tuesday night was the old standard. Let's stick with that

Where's your sense of adventure? I'll have a tea ready in the ground for your HT arrival and see how you feel about adventure Saying that I'm only setting off from Faversham at 5.30 Enjoyed the adventure. Passed Maidstone Hospital as the clock ticked on to 6.00 and was through the turnstile at Boreham Wood at 7.20.
Where was all the traffic? Even using the Blackwall tunnel on the way back I was still home at 11.10.

Indeed geezer. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of traffic disruption en route (as the satnav would say). The most timewasting came from actually trying to find the flippin' turnstile!
