Seriously? When someone speaks of a powerful, wealthy man, I imagine someone who is involved with global corporate companies at the highest level or in the highest level of government or an heir to a fortune. I'm sure Mr Varney has done very well for himself but let's not get too excited about his power and wealth. Secondly, I bothered to read what La Femme wrote. He cites his sources for the facts he has given so unless they are not there and he has made them up then he cannot be libelled. If you (or anyone else) wishes to draw an inference from what he has written then that is up to you but he cannot be blamed for your inference. Lastly, I hope you have given similar warnings on your forum to supporters that were singing 'you let your club die'. As far as I know there would not have been anyone in the ground that let their club die. Careful, there are some rich and powerful supporters at Maidstone United...just sayin'. Indeed NWS, that chant sounds like slander to me. it costs £1,000 a day to sue someone in the high court for libel or slander. if anybody seriously thinks Mr Varney would spend that kind of money suing the writer of a blog for making inferences from verifiable sources, they need to take a reality check. Agreed, Jayser. Just to be slightly pernickety (but you will see what I mean in terms of libel), La Femme has supplied facts from verifiable sources and not inferred anything. Any inference is drawn not made.

The problem with PP is that it makes the mistake of crictizing others for our own failings.

The problem with PP is that it makes the mistake of crictizing others for our own failings. Your problem might be that you think we're failing when 2000 people are watching us every week, we're on course for our highest league finish in 25 years and we've got a chance of getting to Wembley.

I wouldn't pay any attention to handyandy. We don't!
I quite like reading these. The Sutton Gandermonium is another good one. Nothing wrong with a bit of stick every now and then, some of our lot just can't seem to take it.
Oh, and kudos on the stand. Excellent stuff.

Surely no one expects opposition fanzine sites to heap praise on their clubs and if you read them with that in mind they can be very entertaining and sometimes informative. My only criticism of ours is the need for a glossary to work out some of the nicknames.

I see your point on the glossary. Some of it got me thinking!

On a positive note, the result was better than the one the season before last!
As for nicknames, I'd like PP to call Osei "Milo" - after Milo O'Shea. What? Too ancient for the majority of our fans? Surely even they will have researched "Barbarella"!
