Absolutely wind-up! My money's on Ant or PP. How is it a wind up? I guess you condone everyone acting like buffoons at a non league football match. It was the "Labour government" that got me!

Maybe the only solution is a solid barrier where they can't actually see each other?
But how on earth did we get to that sort of madness from the 'non-league' visiting fan situation we had not much more than a season ago??

Dover fan in peace! First time of visiting the Gallagher stadium yesterday. First impressions were good - friendly security at the gate, a decent tea hut with a friendly couple serving and a nice touch with the bar serving beer behind the stand.
I attended the game with my young son and we had been looking forward to his first ever away game for new year's day. Sadly there were a minority of idiots amongst both sets of fans. If I could have chosen a seat to sit with my boy I certainly would have ( was seating available for away fans?), it would have kept my young boys ears from the embarrassment of the yobs and their crude songs as mentioned towards the girl! And the chant about the stones and the IRA?! Seriously wtf!! I did witness people on both sides goading each other from the minute we arrived, it's not exclusive to Dover fans I'm afraid. Boys that think they're all tough in their Burberry and Stone Island! On the pitch I thought you played the better football and were undone by two great goals. God Dover are ugly to watch under Kinnear but it is effective at times! Good luck with the rest of your season, it's good to have Kent teams coming up the leagues. Enough from me on the moronic few - they don't deserve the space.

Enough from me on the moronic few - they don't deserve the space. Always nice to see posts from other club's fans - sorry you had to put up with the idiots. As you say, it isn't just Dover, we have or own bunch of kids trying to be hard. The quicker they grow up, the better. Luckily, it only seems to be a few clubs where we have this sort of thing going on. I think there are a few seats available for away fans (at that end of the main stand), but you have to ask a steward and pay extra (£2 I think?), and once they've gone, that's it, I'm afraid. It's one of those areas where we don't do as well as other clubs, basically because we're still building our stadium. I would imagine one of the priorities for the next stage of development will be more seats, so it may be better next New Year's Day (and at least this year was better than last time - the stand was still being built, so you would have had to stand on flat concrete in the corner and get VERY wet!). Comparing the two games, it occurs to me that the difference at Dover was that the away fans were well away from the home ones, and at Aldershot, even though we were at the same end, there was a large area of empty terracing between the fans. Whereas at the JWW, they're only separated by a few meters and a piece of magic cloth. That might be the key - when you're a fair distance apart, you can chant and shout what you like at the other lot without it becoming 'personal', but when you're just a few meters apart the hotheads get wound up. Another good reason why we should make the TE the away end (at least until it's rebuilt).

not convinced about your last point the Town End is the natural home for Stones supporters and if the proposed development takes place, that's what it will become as for giving up the EE exclusively to away fans, that will leave acres of empty space for most matches and why spoil it for those genuine Stones fans who enjoy supporting the team behind the goal we are attacking

The EE was designed for away supporters and when other developments are finished, you won't probably see a stones fan in it again especially if we are to comply with the rules of the EFL.
