And I'm working. So having been robbed of the 5th December (when I wasn't working) and the game was moved to 12th December (when I was working), I am robbed again. here's praying for a drawn out FA Cup affair between Gills and Carlisle with the replay being on 16th January

FA Trophy 2nd Round replay night so it might still be moved again. It's also fa cup 3rd round replay night, should the gills beat Carlisle and then draw v Sheffield Wednesday.

Just give them the ruddy trophy. It might help dull the pain of knowing they'll be regularly getting beaten by us in the League again in a few seasons...

Good to know he understands.
However, we have to face facts, the KSC is a nothing competition, whereas we desperately need to concentrate on the league at the moment. And, with our current fixture congestion, Jay will be looking for games where he can rest players. And, leaving aside local rivalries, the Gills game is the obvious one. There'll be plenty of time for showing Gillingham who's boss when we're both in L2 in a few years time.
I would expect him to put a second-string side out in the Trophy too. I know the Trophy really does matter, but (in theory at least) we should be able to beat an Isthmian North side without putting out our first-choice side. I suspect he'll play ter Horst instead of Piggs, with Hare coming in to give Tsunami a break (although with both of them on the bench).

Not quite sure that we have to concentrate on the league just yet, I believe we will give the Trophy a good go and hopefully we can go all the way

What fixture congestion? Trophy must be a priority.. Swifts are a very good side...but what a great chance this season to get to Wembley for the first time ever. gills game a nice distraction...
