Well, it was a friendly, so I guess you don't expect much, but that was pretty awful. Barnet just scored at will and I don't think we troubled their keeper once. Players changed so often that I had no idea who half the team were most of the time (they even reused numbers!!) I've been looking forward to this game for weeks, but the only bit I enjoyed was the 'free' beer - and I couldn't even take that back to my seat... And the players weren't just not wearing squad numbers, they weren't even in the new strip! I know friendlies don't mean much, but Barnet are only one division above us - it looked more like League v Ryman South. They were fit and fast, they ran at us in numbers, they scored FIVE times (and it could easily have been more), they stopped us getting anywhere near scoring with ease, and there wasn't a duff player in the entire squad they used today. Oh, and just to make it even more bizarre, the police had to use considerable force to eject one 'fan'... a very good summary ...they wiped the floor with us, we had no shots on target and there were no balti pies ... in fact i recall only two shots from us all game one was obviously aiming for the corner flag and the other went over the elvis stand ... still the sun shone and it beat going out shopping with the missus...

They looked fitter, sharper and had more of a plan. The gulf between the two sides was remarkable. Worgan positioning was suspect for a lot of the play. Hopefully as it's early on we will learn from it

Yes it was disappointing to lose 5-0 but they did have 33 players to choose from and we have only been back training for a week. Cant believe on the Barnet forum some of their fans think they need more signings. What was their average gate last season? Lower than ours I would guess.

Not sure if they will have trained much more than a week & we are now full-time so can't keep using that as an excuse! Considering they are only one league above I also thought we looked poor, hopefully next week they can put on a better show. Seemed strange not seeing Mills or Flisher's name on the team sheet.

Hopefully as it's early on we will learn from it If course they looked fitter and sharper, they had an extra week back in training. I really don't understand all the doom and gloom. A team full of trialists got beaten by a side from a higher division, well shock horror, hold the back page. If you expected anything else after a weeks training you need your head examined.

People don't like it when we lose 5 - 0.

Overall the squad is so weak and you could tell before Barnet. Look at the players Barnet had on trial compared to Ryman level losers were looking at. I wasn't that impressed with josh hare either, Tom wraight didn't even touch the ball mostly thanks to some incompetent left back, who I hope we never see again. Also what are we doing about a sub keeper this year, Barnet had 3 every good keepers all over 6 and half foot, be nice to have some competition for worgs this year.
What did the management even see in those trialists? The supporters team would of done better.

Ffs it,s going to be a long old season, get real for god,s sake it was only a friendly, a little bit more than a kick about, I,m sure by the time the season starts for real we will be about ready, but hey if your all that fed up with yesterday,s performance why dont you all ring the club on Monday asking for JS to be sacked.

Bit early for the black and amber glasses? No one is doing "doom and gloom", we're just reporting realistically on a very disappointing psf. If you weren't just a tad worried after that, you need to stop taking the antidepressants.

Our number 7 in the second half, presumably a trialist, looked very useful too, but who was he? Thought his name was Tyler something but could not see him in the team notes Tyler Campbell, previously of Enfield Town. Thank heavens for that, I thought Jay had signed Trolley to keep him out of the supporters/directors match!

no disguising the 0-5 scoreline which did not flatter Barnet plenty of trialists on display, but most of them not up to standard

Nobody is going to threaten Loza's place in the starting line up
Not available Saturday but hopefully will be back for the Palace
