No one is slagging him off Considering Jay has been ''preaching'' that we need experience at this level, to then go and sign a 18 year old who's never played at this level is rather odd to say the least. Think the statement from Jay is obvious and well timed with the latest signing,it's all he can sign within the budget .He wants better players,Jay must be fed up , Everyone of us knows we need experienced players [.the owners want cheap players So the sweeney fee and money saved on his and Murphy wages adds up to money saved for the owners

If I was the owners reading this forum I would be thinking what an ungrateful lot a small minority of our supporters are. They put the money up to build us a new stadium in Maidstone, they provided Jay with the money to bring in players to get us promoted 3 times in 4 years. Last seasons promotion to the NFL came sooner than they, or any of us expected but still they have put there hands in their pockets, rather than going into debt, as they have had to in order to comply with NFL requirements.
I am sure they would have liked to use this money to bring in new players and/ or go fulltime but they do not have a bottomless pit of money and as they havr always said the club has to live within its means.
Without Oliver and Terry we would not be in the NFL let alone back home in Maidstone so cut them some slack and stop moaning

I'll buy the stand thing about no money for the season as a whole .....but as ray has said the budgets less than when we started this season ....its less this week, than it was last week

Here we go again slagging players off before they've kicked a ball. Why the hell would anyone want to sign for us considering all we do us f**king complain. Jesus, just give it a rest for a change. Daveu, have you got anything positive to say about this new signing ? Cause I would love to hear it !

I'm certainly not going to write a player off before I've even seen them.

Calm your self down Doris, all I said was we need a little more than what this young lad can offer, even JS has been quoted as saying there,s little point in signing youngsters when the team is already quite young, so you calm yourself down before you cause an injury.

Give it a few weeks into the new year and we may well have got some experience too, I suspect. It won't happen now decent players have turned us down due to money Laffaytte Tubbs Strevens The owners are cutting cloth for relegation now. Also a few weeks into the new year and the seasons over .

Seems as though he is rated by the Margate fans who seem gutted he has left. I agree that this does seem a strange signing in view of the managers comments about experience. We will have to wait and see but JS has been far from successful in his recruitment policy this season. Does anyone know what the size of our squad is compared to other similarly placed teams? We must be getting a bit thin on the ground?

DD only left awhile ago and he must of been on a good wage as well. So the money must be available... So we have DD wages saved, Healey,s wages saved, Murphy,s wages saved, Sweeney,s wages saved. And we get a young in-experienced lad from Margate to bolster our bid for survival after the boss said he didn,t really want to sign anymore youngsters.

As usual, elements of this forum jumping to conclusions without knowing the full picture and certainly without brain in gear. Until the club give full details there is no point putting two and two together to make five, or indeed 93... If they are serious about signing established players then the wage bill must be reduced elsewhere and to maintain capacity then youngsters who are cheaper are needed. Put them with experience and you can have a fine mix. Perhaps the club are a bit slow at times in explaining things, but sure as hell certain supporters are way too quick to jump on the bandwagon. Would be nice to think the club do it deliberately, just to wind some of the buggers up!

Could probably add Jay May to that list as well Since hes left the only players we signed are N'Guessan & now this young lad.....i doubt either are on much money wise
