While it probably means very little, it is nevertheless interesting to note that Torquay put seven past Oxford City today. A team we struggled to beat one nil not very long ago. Well, at least we'll be playing the losers next season, not the winners...

Ebbsfleet have not paid their players again! This time the players have released a statement to the press! Maybe we could tempt Ashmore away as a permanent keeper and maybe a fat Pikey up front 🤪

Yes this is awful. I think the owner now needs to come clean.

He's probably not paid the cleaners either! He hasn't. The worst thing is the apparent deliberate attempt to mislead players not paying wages insurance premiums and potentially witholding monies he has taken from salaries for HMRC and then not actually paying HMRC. Feel for the staff as they have had a great recovery since Hill took over having suffered these shenanigans for a year or so. Wonder how the Football powers that be will see this

Amazing these players aren't queuing up to leave the club. Can't think what's keeping them there ??££??

None of us know what's going on. Apparently a good offer was made for the club a few months ago, but the Doctor turned it down. We could say we've had 5 years we never expected, me personally, I just want to turn up to watch a game of football at my local club, whatever league that may be. Who would want to deal with this man now business wise,? who would trust him.?

Really hope that there is limitations as to the amount of damage the good Dr can do to the club, morally the club are hurt an anyone entering into any kind of deal will be wary to say the least, situations like these make us thankful for the way our clubs owners go about there business.

Indeed. Thank God for our owners. They make mistakes but don’t we all and they are honest and prudent whilst still ambitious and in love with the club. Seeing the Ricky’s and Salisbury’s and Fleets makes you appreciate that.

Who would want to deal with this man now business wise,? who would trust him.? Well said Phil. That's the bottom line really; it's why we haven't enjoyed the last few seasons. Getting promoted is good, but it's not why most fans watch their local teams - they just want local football that they can feel some connection with, at a price they can afford. Hundreds of thousands of fans (perhaps millions, if you include all the smaller EFL clubs) go to games every week not expecting anything great, just a good game of football, some cracking goals, and hopefully a win - and the enjoyment of supporting their club. These sugar daddies all fail to understand this. They think every fan just wants their club in the EFL (or Premiership), with a spanking new ground, etc, - and they are the hero to make those dreams come true. Of course, we all* dream of that and it's very seducing, but we've all seen this go tits up so many times now, that we realise that for most clubs it is more like a nightmare than a dream. Given the choice, most of us would rather have the reality of our local club just being there each week - without being too worried about what league it's in. (*or perhaps not)

I also look forward to my local club having a stable squad and team of black and amber heroes but understand that this crazy season that started with the Wheeler revolving door fantasy football madness isn’t going to give us that in the short term until we know what league we are in. Looking at the teams in the NLS again today made me realise I actually really don’t want to accept relegation as inevitable so come on you loanee stones and newly developing heroes like Micky Phillips 2019 version and the De Havilland bomber lets get some points- however ugly- and stay in the NL as a decent local club that is on the level and not sucked into the money madness and EFL obsessions of other NL teams. Let’s stay up, enjoy playing the Hartlepools of this world and establish ourselves as a credible NL team without all the mercenaries and big money cynicism. COYS!

I feel the complete opposite. I'd accept relegation and look forward to going back to a majority of those clubs. Shame about Torquay coming up but Truro... Truro!! Lovely place 😀😀

Good to see Dover lose in the only league game of the day. Although survival will be a very tall order, we need teams immediately above to not pick up points.
