Real shame but not a surprise. I wonder if Margate's training ground location would suit him better.

I am shocked, but never mind, there are plenty of players out there who are capable of filling his shoes, it's not like messi leaving Barcelona. Good luck to him.

Wow I'm surprised I didn't see that coming
Plenty of posts on this FORUM from 1st June (Attwood-Bricknell) included
"Billy Bricknell reviewing his options" "Billy Bricknell's twitter had had a few changes, so maybe there is something in him leaving" "Billy is not committed to next season" "No longer listed as playing for Maidstone on his twitter account"
I guess we all knew what was coming

Yes, Ant is quite a blessing on this forum and yes I missed toonarmy's winking face at first glance (post quickly edited) Not sure if Kieran realised the writing was on the wall.
Still, heads up to the forum posts which were signalling Billy Bricknell's departure, a full 2 weeks before it was announced by the club.

From the sounds of it, travelling to and fro for training and matches was making him tired before he even got out onto the pitch - I've had the same issue in the past with cricket so I know where he is coming from with that. Sounds like 100% the right decision for club and player, so I also wish him well for the future. I've no doubt there will be plenty of interest from clubs around the East London and Essex areas as strikers with his record don't grow on trees.
