Time for the Stones to play all their games away then ? Promotion guaranteed !!? COYS. The fact is our last two home games we never once used our pitch to our advantage, we couldn't pass the ball and couldn't keep the ball and played far to narrow therfore we got a footballing lesson . But the last two away games was a different story where we out muscled and out worked sides with a real old fashion direct style and won a little ugly. My conclusion is Jay style of coaching is far more suited to a poor uneven wet grass pitch, over slick passing and movment football with width which is needed to dominate possession on our amazing 3G surface.

How come Jay's style of coaching was so much more effective for the first third of the season? It's much more likely to be to do with the number of players that have been lost and brought in. There's a very different team playing out there now, compared to the early part of the season, and it's been chopped and changed almost ever game recently. Jay's problem is not his style of coaching, it's getting this new bunch of players used to each other and playing as a team. If he can do that, given the superb squad we've got now, we will storm the league.

Perhaps other teams are getting a better advantage as they play on a crap pitch all year round until Maidstone away??? Maybe Jay should get them all down to moat park to train, we may take full advantage to the artificial grass that way.
