Margate fans are pressing the panic button on their facebook. Seems the current plan is to buy the league. Thought they had already tried that. Apparently Frannie, Flish, and May are their top targets surprise surprise! They'll turn it around no problem with their 3 time player of the season Matt Bodkin.....great player and someone I'd really like to see playing for us.....can't see how they'd let him go though..

How do their promoted teams tend to do in the IS? I could, of course, spend an hour googling this, but I was hoping, as a SCL watcher, you might know! They tend to struggle.Recent promoted sides include,Crawley Down,Three Bridges,,Redhill,Horsham YMCA,Crowborough and Eastbourne Town.Whitehawk and Peacehaven have had money from rich sponsors,so have done well.In my years down this way only Burgess Hill have come out of the county league and established themselves without big financial benefactors. Cheers. Hard to believe any side prospers, even with financial backing, if today's pathetic performance is indicative of the SCL 'quality'. Mind you, it might not have been Littlehampton who were bad, it might have been Maidstone who were just INCREDIBLE, and who are so good that they're are going to walk the league this year and piss all over Margit. But I'm desperately trying NOT to think that...

I wonder what the Tonbridge fans felt after stuffing Herne Bay 6-0, when they heard our result?!

We need to rip up that plastic pitch, it blatantly gives us an unfair advantage.

We need to rip up that plastic pitch, it blatantly gives us an unfair advantage. We could just rip half of it up - so our half was plastic and the away team's half grass. Although, of course, half-times would be rather lengthy as the two half pitches were swapped round...

We did what we had to do today to get a result.Thought Jay might have given Lee a rest at half time as he seemed to be struggling abit with his leg injury.Well done everyone for the support and the town end for their 2nd half cheering The second-half singing of the Town end was indeed excellent. To us (in the Town end) it sounded like there was no noise coming from the other end at all (at one point the Town end were even singing "you're supposed to at home" to the other end!). But, having been up the other end (whatever it's called!), and sat in the stand, I know that what you can hear at one end is very different from what the other end hears. So, was it really only the Town end singing? There was bloke outside the gate today after the game, giving out pats on the backs for all town enders.

That is because the Townend buddies are TGFITW and it is lucky they have got themselves in good voice in the last few games to rescue us from our poor start to the season.

The clear solution is to issue players with special boots. 3g bottom ones for maidstone players and grass bottomed ones for opposition players.

As all have said really one sided but i really don't care. We smashed it yesterday. A class above on the field and the support were quality especially second half from the town end. Best bit for me was when we were chanting "Saunders whats the score" And he just hid his head lol. It would be nice to get a good cup run but i think that the league should be our priority. We need to go up this season. The whole 3g debate would really kick onto life if we do and i reckon that we would gain a lot of publicity if we have a bad winter with fixture back logs and theres the mighty stones playing all our home games.

Naturally the Littlehampton players didn't like the pitch at all.

Annoying that Gresley R should beat Brigg T 10 - 0 as well, but at least Brigg had their keeper sent off before the third goal.
I also noticed that Adrian (Oz) Webster has resigned as manager of Newton Aycliffe (Who? Couldn't be arsed to find out where they're from).

Newton Aycliffe is near Darlington. Dated a bird there when I was living in Boro. As far as the Teeside-y area goes it wasn't to bad (neither was Newton)

To be fair, in all honesty, it was one of those games where we could have scored eleven. Know what I mean?

It was an interesting match to say the least. The town end singing was superb all through the match. I wont stand anywhere else !
