650 stones will attend. 650 angels will attend. Mangles haven't got that many fans. Im with nws on this, and not going to bother going ,mangles are notoriously famous for not being able to hold a big game properly ask Dover fans. I remember the hassle and trouble some of us had with the nightclub bouncers they employ as security.TA cant do biggish gates they are an unfriendly club and mostly unwelcoming of visiting fans, have you ever heard anyone actually say they like them and enjoy the visit. Beer tents are a recipe for disaster , Im told the last time they had one at a game running battles broke out between them and hundreds of Lowestoft fans. roll on promotion for the Stones so we can leave tin-pot rubbish like them, and there invented rivalry behind for good

Maybe you should think about going and getting some professional help before it all gets too much out of control. When you do get promotion and I please note I am not saying "if" you will still have plenty of "tinpot" clubs to visit but you just might have to travel a little further to get to them. As to "us" inventing the rivalry...it's mentioned on "your" Wikipedia page and not ours so if the rivalry was invented maybe you should look closer to home.I am not going to comment on your very silly and highly inaccurate statements regarding "running battles", "don't do big crowds" and being "unwelcoming of away fans" except to state that has never been my experience and I have never witnessed any of it nor have the vast majority of visiting fans who all have enjoyed there visits to Longmead. Anyway my little grumble over back to the real topic "the game itself" we all very much look forward to the Stones visiting us on Monday. A lot of work has gone into making sure you are all made to feel welcome and if as it looks like it is going to be a little damp on the day there is a large free car park immediately outside the ground, there will be plenty of turnstile operators on duty (so should be no long queues to get in), yes there will be a marquee that holds 600 (in addition to the normal bar) so if any of you wish to have a drink not only before, during and after the game you can. Longmead also has plenty of cover with covered seating for 770 and covered terraces behind each goal so even if it does rain during the game the vast majority of fans from both teams should be able to keep dry. So apart from PMH and NWS who have both decided to stay away, we wish the rest of you who have decided to attend the game both a safe journey to and from the ground and also just as importantly we very hope you enjoy your day with us.

My first visit and looking forward to it, ekctafc. My biggest worry is the weather - looks like it's going to chuck it down!

Thanks Colin, sounds like a lot of effort to accommodate us. Looking forward to a good tight local ding dong. My uncle from the U.S is coming along for first taste of non league footy. Witnessed myself what puts nws off from attending so fair enough. Everyone enjoy the football and friendly banter. And if you can't take it, don't give it. Drink responsibly and don't be an arse.

Let's hope the few idiots who were "up for it" for the Wealdstone game last season stay away, because if the go looking for trouble there are always a few who will be only too happy to accommodate them, and spoil it for the vast majority who only want to enjoy a game of football.

I should be going. I would also add I have never had any problems there at all and have always found their supporters to be quite friendly. The biggest problem I do remember there was caused by, mmmmmm, I think our then manager Mr Hume.
Other than that if you can't handle the drink just leave it and have a J2O. Don't go thinking there will be a massive punch up as you'll be disappointed, there'll only be a game of football.

I agree with everything JT except the Lloyd Hume bit. Filmed that game, which I think you're referring too - got everything on camera and almost missed a goal. That was down to one individual from the Mangles - unfortunately the whole "I saw everything mentality from everyone kicked in (despite the fact everyone on camera - around 10 each side - were looking the other way). What exacerbated things was the 30 or so Maidstone supporters who ran over. Tonbridge as a club were exemplary in how they handled it - at least they asked for the video & got police involved.....
Their supporters too have been great every time I've mingled - though I'm aware of ONE mangle been a dick in our end.
As for bouncers didn't see it but trust Tim Tim on what happened there.

As above.
As I said to many yesterday, I'd love it if we could turn up and not give a shit about them, would probably irritate them more than the witty chants.
Never gonna happen though!

Would echo what beachside and JT said, only one problem that was caused by overzealous 'hired security' I was immediately approached by several decent Tonbridge fans who apologised on behalf on their club! I later got a apology from ours and their chairman, Nick somebody, I can’t remember his surname, but as far as I'm concerned they are non league football fans that are really no different to us I'm looking forward to the game, and going to their ground! They could teach us a thing or two about sight lines!

We are representing the club and therefore we should behave properly.Have a bit of banter and show our support for the team as for anything else forget it.Also show respect towards their stewards as we would expsct visiting fans to do to ours.So come on town end buddies lets have a good day out without going over the top.COYS

EKC Do you deny any trouble trouble at lomgmead the last time you had a beer tent v Lowestoft?
Most big games at your ground have attracted trouble, ask Dover and Sutton, and the above both of those sets we have a good friendship with and are never trouble when we play them. ?
Tinpot comments about you are based on MY experience ,Dover fans HAVE said to me the best thing next to promotion its self is that they wont have to suffer TA for a while
Will the hired security who normally work as bouncers at that club and bars in the town be hired for our visit tomorrow?.
We will fill your tills and coffers which is all you are bothered about as a club.
If it was a warm sunny bank holiday i hope WE would break your record attendance, its wet and rainy so i doubt we will .
im actually praying for rain ,it will be novel to play on a swamp again.Good experience for the coming months
