just back from the game, and before Ronaldostone "pipes in" , it took us less time on the home journey back to the Garden of England. It was another winning performance from the Stones, it would have been nice not to concede those 3 goals ... but hey-ho !! ... we sit proudly on top of the League unbeaten in our first 3 games of the season ... Yes, and I've said it myself in a previous post that the League will be won next April/May ... all the same it feels good !!. Today's game at Bognor, where we are always welcomed was a mixture of good football and grafting when we had to ... Yet again it was the same starting line-up, which must be the management preferred 11 ... it was nice to see Ben Greenhalg come on as a sub and I personally can see him as an excellent recruit to our team , with a few more games under his belt, he will surely be a first choice team player ... bring on Ashley Miller too !! To break down the team overall performance, still strong at the back, although today we were a bit sluggish at times against a team that has seen a great deal of new faces in their ranks, saddly they will struggle this year, so we shouldn't have given the slightest bit of hope at the end to almost levelling the game that we had dominated in long spells. The midfield did loose a few balls which added to the stretching of our defence at times ... nice and also remarkably umbelieveable that Jay May sit proudly as our leading goal scorer, the man must have a "Midas touch" as he does labour on a bit in his play, but I will admit that he seemed to be keener today to make his presence felt ... the arrival of new players that could threaten his place in the team must have given him that extra yard to chase the ball ... Frannie ... is at times an enigma and still chasing shadows up front, but he scores the odd goals, so I hear some of you who will remind me of that fact ... I simply would like to see this player as he was at the beginning of last season , when he scored quality goals and was a much more confident player. Finally ... thank God ... will be the comment ... let's give a mention to the management team of Jay and Nicky and in particular the latter, I would really like our supporters to give our new assistant manager a nice clapping ovation next Tuesday night as yet not even his name as been cheered by us. Keep up the good work lads, we will support you evermore !! C'mon you Stones !!

As the score says it was a very open game I dont think we defended at all well Bognors left sided player looked very lively giving Butcher had a tough afternoon. Our new system we now have is working out well with the very impressive Jay May holding the ball up so very well again ,We are now able to bully into mistakes even the biggest of defences .As for Bodkin a class act going forward but maybe not so strong at tracking back, Any idea what injury sicknote picked up. My motm Jay May the key to our nine points.

Didnt go to Bognor but you have to say any win down there is a very good result as they will beat a lot of sides during the season. The team are doing very nicely and we have quality to come in too. Ben will undoubtedly be a good signing for us but may have to be patient as our team seems fairly settled and winning games at the moment Hopefully Wattys injury isnt too serious as we need him fully fit this season. Lets hope for another three points tuesday night and a good crowd to see the league leaders Great to see Jay May doing so well after the abuse he was getting by a small minority after dropping a league to sign for us . Happy days Cant wait for Longmead on bank holiday!

Can't see Bognor beating "a lot" of sides this season. Hope they don't struggle though as it's a good club with a great bunch of fans.
The journey back for us his wankers proved how well TimTim did getting us there on what I assume was ronaldostone's route, whilst the bus driver/French stones route back was frustrating to say the least. Can only assume he wanted the overtime. As far as the game goes, well done to all, May continues to prove the doubters wrong...whilst it appears Alex Brown will never to enough to appease his critic. Steve Watt's substitution was apparently just precautionary so fingers crossed on that one.

The road less travelled was the best route and the more scenic.

The route I directed my friend ronaldostone, started from Tonbridge, where I work, but rest assured that this as far as my interest in the town is !!! ... I thought that the best route from this starting point via the back route out of Tun. Wells and pick up the A26 Lewes, there we could then pick up the A27 as far as Littlehampton, but I have to point out that we did encounter some minor traffics hold ups following the usual "week-end" drivers travelling at less than the permitted speed limit ... and then my good friend Ronaldostone informing me that is level of fuel was at such a low that we needed to find a petrol station asap ... or we might not get to our desired destination ... enough said on the matter I think, if only that I do agree that the return journey was a faster one, due to the help of better road condition.

It did amaze me though that in the space of a couple of minutes, the same player did get 2 of our supporters , but missed our Shakey on both occasions as those who got hit stood directly in front of him !! lol
