Decent game for a friendly. Daggers were a class above on the ball but lacked penetration where it mattered. They had a lot of the ball, especially first and last 20 minutes, but I thought we posed more of a threat. We looked solid at the back even with a completely different backline after the break, and restricted them to long range shots until about the last 10 minutes. Great save by Will at the end to preserve the clean sheet.

I'll tell you what we played well - got me all excited it did. Liked the Look of Bodkin. Lots of play on the ground - first half especially. Looks like a strong squad. Always the Pollyanna optimist!

I thought we were very good tonight, and in no doubt their manager would love to have 3/4 of our players for their up and coming season in the Football League.

Some positives to take out of it: - Flish looked in much better nick compared to last preseason, hopefully this means he can get back to his best in the season ahead
- Leon Lalor-Dell is well worth another look
- The number 19 seemed to be in 2 places at once in the second half, so much energy

THAT IS GOOD NEWS, HE RARELY PERFORMED AT HIS BEST LAST SEASON AND THAT IS REFLECTED IN OUR RESULTS
- Leon Lalor-Dell is well worth another look
IS THAT IN THE NEW FOREST?
- The number 19 seemed to be in 2 places at once in the second half, so much energy
BUT WHO WAS HE PLAYING FOR?

Has the attendance been published? And how many of those in the crowd wished they seen the first half of the WC semi? That David Luiz, eh, no discipline whatsoever!
Oh, it was 447, I really should take a look at the OS sometimes. That was an impressive turnout when summer has only just started.

David Luiz played like a startled Gnu ( Wildebeest) - Couldn't believe the score after 30 minutes.
Didn't see MUFC last night but will be able to see the next 2 friendlies.

Good start to pre season. Good to see Bodkin and Miles fitting in nicely first half, both with promising debuts. With us having the same nucleus of the squad as last year we already looked good as a unit. With the additions we've made I'm optimistic for the season ahead.
Interesting to see those not involved and Jay mentioned some in his post match interview. Anyone know the latest on Orlando (who I saw there) and Richard Davies?
