And Butcher signs too. We will need this strength in depth. I'm just as pleased about this as Alex signing - I thought Butcher looked impressive in the couple of games I saw him play, and he's versatile too.

If the season were to start tomorrow I'd be a little disappointed with our signings, although I do like Alex Brown I still think we are short of that 'Pouton type' of midfielder to drive us on! However, there is still time!

What about the 'Bradbrook type'... Was trying not to say that word. I haven't seen Elliot play for a while and then it was more wide, but I understand that he's been playing in that role for Dartford, so yes please!

Think all of Brown Butcher and Charlie will be on the bench or farmed out on loan next year cant see any of them holding down regular place.

???Why oh why Alex was so poor since Christmas totally the wrong midfielder for this league have we learnt nothing from last seasons collapse ? You're fishing for a whoosh, right? I hope so, cos if not you must have been watching a different Alex Brown to the rest of us. Sent from my HTC Desire C using Tapatalk Can you really be sure what games the rest of us are watching.

You may be correct on this, but if Alex Brown goes out on loan, it will not be to a lower league team. I think the guy is class, works hard and always puts the team before himself. I think we are lucky to have him at Maidstone and I look forward to seeing him next season :-)

Every time Mickey was out we conceded at least 70 per cent of procession we couldn't keep the ball and we couldn't win the ball. The main reason we managed to finish seventh was because of our amazing keeper and a very solid back four spending far to much time defending. Most of our goals were from our left side Flish and Mills into the front two, the big lad from Ebbsfleet done well and Rooney was class. But with DP SB AB and CR as our center midfield we look far two weak and lightweight and we are unlikely to control games you might get away one along side a big strong imposing midfielder but with two we will never have enough of the ball to feed our isolated forwards. All in my humble opinion.

You hit the nail on the head when Mickey was out Alex became the heart of the midfield and showed at this moment in his career he is out of his depth I really don't dislike him but if want to move forward to need better in the engine room.

All in my humble opinion. When you say we conceded 70% procession, I assume you mean possession? Are you saying that other teams had 70% of the possession. If so, a laughable comment. Are you saying that 70% of passes were given away. Again laughable. Are you saying that we only won 30% of tackles? Again laughable. When Alex Brown was alongside Mickey we were 40% more likely to create a scoring chance.
